Little Turtle Daycare in Macomb

I used Early Learning down at Cass and Romeo Plank. This was 2 years ago, but my kids were there for 3 years and they loved it. The other place I really had liked but needed to change because my son started school and I needed someone to be able pick him up was Kinder Care on Garfield and 19 (they wouldn't bus to and from Mount Clemens schools other than St. Mary's).

There is one on 21 & Garfield that I liked but again wouldn't but to my children's school.

This school is WONDERFUL! I send my son here. And in a few years will send my daughter here. My son will be going to kindergarten in the fall. Now all the teachers are different, so I recommend going and talking to other parents and seeing what they have to say about their kids teacher. My son has a young teacher and she is good, but not as creative as the older teacher in the classroom next door to him. All in all I was very happy with this school. His first year of pre-school he went to Shelby Nursery School on 22 and Schoehnerr (sp?) and that school was wonderful also.

Do you know why Ms Dawn's is closing? I just talked to them last month about an open house they were going to have. I was planning on sending my daughter there this fall for pre-school.

I don't have any personal experience with my child at Little Turtle, he's only 11 weeks old...but...my best friend's mother is a teacher there. Mrs. Lee Klute is her name and she is a GREAT teacher! She teaches three year olds. Let me know if you have any questions about Little Turtle and I can ask her for you.

Another suggestion,not as daycare but more pre-school, is to check out the pre-school at Dakota High School. It's a really great program. Mrs. Osborne is the woman in charge of it. You child would have very structured lessons on Music, Science, Math, Story Time, Free Play, Art, Large Muscle and other great areas executed by several different high school teachers and a main certified teacher. There are ususaly about six teacher in each room with around fifteen students. I was a one of those highschool teachers years ago. I think it's a nice program as well!
