For however long she's happy in it. My daughter loved hers and would sit and play for up to an hour at times.

I'm not sure of the right amount of time , but I found that after 10 mins my kids got fussy and wanted to get out. Personally I don't think I would leave a baby that young in it for more than 15/20 mins.

I didn't put my kids in it until 4-5 months but neither of mine liked it for long. 10-15 minutes was about the most mine ever sat. I also gave the kids tummy time when they were just on a blanket on the floor.

Hi there,

We just got the bumbo, as well and I find that it's best to just follow the baby's cues...when she's ready to come out, she'll begin fussing and that's how we know she's had enough. It's a great little seat though!

Not at all. This seat gives the baby a false sense of control.it develops the head/neck control at the expense of developing strength through their shoulders and arms. Babies naturally develop head control when they work to prop up in prone to look and start to reach for things. A few minutes wont hurt her but do not leave her unattended ..again their is a false sense of safety with this device. I have seen many babies who parents use this seat with the following issues. The babies may be able to sit by themselves when placed perhaps a few weeks early than usual but the baby's ability to use their arms to protect themselves, get on their hands and knees and crawling is then delayed.
