My daughter is 2.5 and has been playing a Reader Rabbit CD on the computer for about 6 months. They have every age range and they are fun for the kids. I know they have them at Target, Best Buy etc......

Does he like Dino's? There are a ton of great learning games with the land before time dinos lots of ages too. We started my son on them at around 3 and he still likes to go in and play them. There are always people getting rid of old computer games on www.freecycle.org just post a wanted and maybe someone will reply or www.craigslist.com you could maybe find some on there cheaper than buying them.

This past weekend I purchased hooked on phonics (pre-reading for ages 3-6) for $5.00 at Big Lots. Big Lots had the Hooked on Phonics series for other ages as well. I would suggest calling a Big Lots in your area. I was at the Big Lots Store on 75th and Cicero in Chicago.
