Laundry Room in the Garage

There was a question asked recently about front loading vs top loading laundry appliances a short time ago. Everyone seems happy with their front loading machines but I am wondering how they do when your "laundry room" is in the garage?

I considered buying front loading machines last time but I worried about the hi tech electronics being in a dusty, hot garage.

Any thoughts,

Or you can check one of those appliance sites like and professionals who donate their time will answer your question and you can see what others have asked. Anything from car repairs to appliances to air conditioning & plumbing - very cool site!

Hi J.,
It is probably OK to have it in the garage. The best thing to do is to get the 1-800 number and ring the company. I often ring companies and ask about products and they are really helpful. It is a really good question.

Mine are in the garage, and to my knowledge, it hasn't caused any problems with the appliances. NOTE: inside or outside, a bit of advice -- leave the washer door open when not in use, otherwise it gets a musty or moldy smell. Good luck with your purchase.
