Does anyone have any ideas to get baby food out of clothes especially carrots. I have tried Oxyclean in the washer as well as on the clothes, Spray and wash with resolve power, Spray and Wash Stick. I have tried soaking in cold water, hot water and warm water. I have also tried washing in all three temperatures as well. I hope someone has tried something that I haven't and it worked. I didn't deal with this with my first child, she refused baby food. Thank you for your help.

What can I do next?

I use to use dawn dishing washing liquid. As soon as the clothes came off I put a little on the spot and rubbed it. Work great for me.

I have found that the most successful way to handle stains is to treat it immediately. However, its not always that simple. So what I do is as soon as I can, I treat it with my own concoction of shout spray, laundry soap (equal parts) with a little bit of dish soap (this helps to lift anything greasy). I spray it on and work it into the clothes with a toothbrush then just let it sit until it gets washed. Sometimes for more stubborn stains you have to reappy and work it in more than once. Nothing is 100% guaranteed, but this has gotten a lot more stains out than anything else!

Try soaking spot with cold water and place clothes outside in direct sunlight. The sun seems to bleach the spot from the clothes!

I was also going to suggest "sunning" the items. I had no idea that the sun was so effective in removing stains, but since I learned that while pregnant, my 15 month old son's clothing has remained stain-free!

You need Shout GEL. You just put it on the stain, rub it in with the brush on the aplicator and then you let it sit until laundry day. You can let it sit up to 5 days! I have used it on 2 yr old set in (packed away in hot attic) formula stains, black broiler hood greese on oxford shirts, taco grease, tomatoe sause....you name it, it works. You do need to watch using it on older white shirts...if you leave it on too long you'll have a really white spot!! :)I have been using shout gel since 1994 (If I remember correctly!)

The only thing that got the stains out of my boys clothes was soaking overnight in hot water (just in the washing machine) with twice the amount of oxyclean a good squirt of dishwasher detergent. I would wash them again to make sure all of the dishwasher detergent residue was off.

I used to make a paste with Biz and rubbed it into the spots, then soaked the clothes in a bucket of heavy Biz solution for a few days before regular washing. It always worked well. Good luck!

I agree with Linda. Zout is the best thing in the world for stains. It can get out just about anything. It comes in a blue bottle, you can get gel or spray, but I prefer the gel for stains.

Try laying in out in direct sunlight (wet). A lot of times the sun will bleach out stains.

Try Dreft Stain remover for baby's. I know that they sell it at Wal-mart. My son had fallen and cut his mouth and so he had blood on a white shirt. I sprayed this stain remover on the stain, threw it in the wash and all the blood came out. I use this stuff on all stains and it very rarely fails me. Hope it works.

I used a couple of different methods with pretty good results. First, I would pretreat the stain with stain remover (whatever kind I had on hand) and gently scrub the stain with a soft-bristled brush. If it didn't look like that was working immediately I would also soak the stained clothes in warm water and Biz. Good luck!

Hi A....its funny but I was asking a similar question not long ago and was given some "spot advice" from a gal that buys clothes for her kids at garage sales..stains and all. When I asked her the secret to getting out the stains she said BIZ BLEACH....since I have looked for it pretty much EVERYWHERE and very few places carry it. I was able to find((at Wal-Mart)) BIZ BABY...its in a pretty PINK bottle and it works VERY well. Its obviously for tough baby stains!! Sure worth a try since I had some things come out clean that had stains that were tried with other agents AND ones that were already set in the dryer!!! It wasnt cheap...about $6 for the bottle but it has worked well with the few loads I have already done with it! Hope this helps! Good Luck!
