My Husband loves to work out and sweats alot doing so. I have wasked his gym clothes with good detergent and color safe clorox bleach and there is still the lingering armpit oder?
I almost can not wash them with the other household laundey?
Is there a anti odor solution that will help with this? Something I can soak or spray on this area to rid of the yucky linger?
Hi there Febreeze makes a laundry odor eliminator that works really well. I bought a shirt brand new and it smelled bad, I washed it and it still smelled like smoke or something so I tried the Febreeze stuff and it really worked. I found it in the laundry section in a bottle like clorox 2 and it is a lot like a detergent.
For shirts and things I use a 1-1 mix of white vinegar and water. It isn't strong enough to smell once the clothes are dry and it gets out odors and neutralizes some of the soap that may still be on the clothes. I use as much as I would have fabric softener and water.
Oxy clean or generic is also amazing. Everything suggested here is great.
If you're trying to freshen, febreze is also good.

A little bit of baking soda in your laundry should work. It you read the side of the box it give laundry directions. I usually just sprinkle a little in when putting the detergent in. Works wonders. My boyfriends sock are the worst. We put his shoes outside, they are not allowed in my house. Hope this works for you.
Have you tried putting baking soda in with your normal laundry detergent? If not, I would try that. It's a great way to neutralize odors and sanitize your laundry. Good luck!

Just want to say that I stumbled upon a great product to use with my regular laundry detergent that helps with odors. Especially with towels in the summertime. Oxy Versatile. It comes in different size tubs I know at Walmart and Sam's Club. In fact, I need to pick up some more myself. You put a scoop full of the oxy powder in each load of laundry that you do. I keep a BIG thing of vinegar beside my washer. My sister in law was told when her house caught fire that the clothing that was saved needed to be washed in vinegar and it took all the smell out! Now I presoak his clothing for about 5 mins and then add my regular washing detergent and wash. It's a life saver!!!
I found by adding BORAX to the wash it comes out smelling better. Also try soaking the smelly items in a BORAX before washing. BORAX is in the laundry isle in the supermarket and had many other ( deoderizing) uses.
