Laundry - Havertown,PA

We purchased the GE Harmony washer and dryer about 5 years ago and love them. It's all digital touchscreen and is "smart". The washer is a top loader w/ no agitator and has a humungous capacity! I love it! When a cycle is complete, the washer "tells" the dryer what is coming and presets to it. There are all kinds of fancy features like presoak, and stain programs that are based on what kind of stain it is (blood, vomit, grass, lipstick are some of the many choices!). My only complaint is that it can get a moldy smell w/ some visible mold - make sure you don't leave clothes in overnite.

A few tips...

Make sure your dryer has moisture sensor drying (as opposed to heat sensor drying) which I think saves a lot on heating bills because the dryer stops putting out heat when it senses the clothes are dry...doesn't needlessly spew off heat but still spins to keep clothes fluffed.

I also like my washer (the front loader doesn't bother me) because it spins them til clothes are practically dry.... that also saves on energy because there's less to dry.

I think the G.E. profile is good but I've heard to stay away from Maytag as they are no longer the great company they used to be.

M., I just bought the GE Profile. (there is no agitator). It acts like a front loader but its top loading. Absolutley love that thing! it even has a timer so I can set up laundry the night b4 and have it finished when I come down in the morning. We got it at Lowe's...12 months no financing! Its a little bit pricey but I don't plan on buying a washer again for a while. maytag also makes a similar model. goodluck!

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio, which is a top loader, but works like a front loader. I wanted a front loader, but have a very narrow laundry room. I also have a Queen bed but use king comforters and quilts,they fit in and launder well in the Cabrio. My Dryer is a Maytag (large capacity). I'm pleased with both appliances.

Hi M., GO to Lowes! They have great prices and I love my whirlpool washer and dryer. I have washed and dried king-sized comforters in them countless times. The only thing you have to remember is you usually have to pull the comforter out and turn it around about half way through the drying cycle (it tends to ball-up a bit). Best wishes

I love my top loading, no agitator GE Profile Washer and Gas Dryer. The Model # for the washer is WPGT9360E0WW. We got a discount through my hubby's company, but it wasn't outrageously priced to begin with. The washer cycles are longer than typical washers, but then the dryer "communicates" with the washer and the drying time is a lot less than you expect. Has some great settings, including hand wash/air dry, stain guide (great for baby stuff like vomit, pee, poo, etc), a soaking timer, and such. We had to buy a lot when we moved in 2 years ago and this is one of those things I haven't had to think twice about!

Only gripe? My mom has issues with it as it's all touch screen. I finally made her a step by step list of what to push for various loads when she visits:)

I love my Kenmore Elite Oasis He top loading washer/dryer set. It is the largest capacity set out there, even larger than the front loaders. It has all the bells and whistles and with little ones its important not to have buttons on the front of machine in their reach.

It has saved me so much time!!!
