Has anyone used either Latisse or Li Lash to grow and thicken eyelashes. I saw Brooke Shields promoting Latisse and it requires a Rx and is approved by the FDA. Does anyone know the cost?
Li Lash can be bought online for $140 and has lots of testimonies on the website. But i would trust you mamas more.
I hate applying mascara!

What can I do next?

Hi Victoria,

I read the fine print on an ad about Latisse and one side effect it can cause is a permanent change of your eye color! That killed my interest right there.
Ask an aesthetician about having your eyelashes dyed. I heard of someone who did this about 5-10 years ago so I don't know if anyone still offers this service.

Good luck!

Latisse does a very good job in most people of creating fuller eyelashes. I do not know about Li Lash but Latisse also runs about the same price per month. There are several disclosures with Latisse. The active ingredient in Latisse - bimatoprost - is also the active ingredient in a medication called Lumigan which is used as eyedrops for glaucoma. A side effect of Lumigan was noted to be eyelash growth and Allergan (the company that makes Latisse and Lumigan) conducted studies and received an indication from the FDA for eyelash growth. The eye discoloration has been seen with Lumigan but has not been seen with Latisse. It had to be included in the possible side effects of Latisse though as it is the same medicine at Lumigan though a different application. You can get some discoloration of the skin with Latisse but this wears off in time. The major down side is that if you stop using the product, any improvement you see will go away.

I use Latisse and am happy with the results. The cost is around $120 however my doctor gave me a mail in rebate coupon when he wrote the prescription which gave me $40 dollars back. I've also used Revitalash and liked the results. Even though it was $140, the one tube lasted me 4-5 months so the cost really wasn't bad.

I'm with the other ladies. Too many side effects. It isn't worth risking your eyes to these things.

I personally would not use either. My reasoning is all the warnings, etc on the commercial for Latisse. Same reason I stay away from Rx drugs if at all possible.

If I needed fuller lashes, I'd just use mascara creatively and maybe add some fake lashes or something. Go to a good cosmetic counter..Nordstrom, Neiman's, etc and get some advice from them.

It wouldn't be worth messing with my eyes and taking a chance on something that might not be reversable.
