Hi!
I am looking for the largest size carry on that will fit in the overhead compartment.
My daughter and I are taking a trip- and I'd love to not have to pay extra for checking a bag.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

Go onto the website for the airline you are flying on to see what the measurements are that they allow. Be sure to measure from the floor to top of your bag including the wheels because wheels count in the measurement. What airline are you flying? If its Southwest, they don't charge for your first 2 bags checked. Most airlines allow one carryon (suitcase, garment bag, rollerbag) & one personal item (purse, diaperbag, briefcase).

Remember that you will have to hoist it up into the overhead bin yourself (unless some very nice passenger will help you) because most flight attendants aren't allowed to do it for you.

The airlines are different, so check with their website on the dimentions. There are some airlines that are now charging for carry-on luggage as well (overhead bin luggage)... So check on this as well. Have a great trip!

the little suitcases work. It is about 16X24 or something around there. I did that for my last trip. It was the medium bag from my set. Sorry I don't know the exact measurements, hope it helps... also, your daughter is allowed a bag as well, so you could pack 2 of them and stuff whatever you can't fit in a small bag that resemble's a purse for your daughter to carry on. My friend took a backpack as her purse and just put her purse inside it, and also a larger carry on bag... no bag checking!
