Hello Everyone! My husband and I will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary next month. We'll be spending the weekend in Lake Geneva. I've never spent the weekend there and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a (fine dining) restaurant. I'd like to eat out somewhere really nice at least one night. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What can I do next?

I've eaten at Gilbert's, The French Country Inn and a restaurant called the Chef's Corner Bistro all in or around Lake Geneva. We enjoyed all three meals. Gilbert's is in downtown Geneva right across the street from the Lake on the main drag next to the Cove. It is in a Victorian looking house. It is expensive and some would say the portions are small, depending on what kind of fine dining you are used too. We enjoyed our meal there, which included three courses plus dessert, however we did visit the local ice cream shop afterward for a double scoop ice cream cone. The French Country Inn was good, with bigger portion--it was a little less "refined" than Gilbert's and a bit of drive outside of Geneva. The Chef's Corner Bistro is in Delevan, a bit of drive and it is in a little house tucked back of the road. It is a German inspired Bistro with a quaint, cozy bar and checkered table clothes. Food was "comfort food" and was really good. Hope you enjoy wherever you eat. Happy Anniversary.

My husband and I ate at the Grand Geneva's Chophouse in February. The food was decent, wine was good. It was expensive but if you're looking for that "white tablecloth" experience, it would be perfect. There is also an Italian restaurant at the Grand Geneva that we haven't tried but I've heard good things about. It is also the "white tablecloth" experience.

if you don't mind a bit of a drive.... i think it's about 30 minutes - but WELL WORTH IT! it's called wilmot stage stop. it's not a fancy place - dressy casual but has the most fantastic food if you like steak and lobster! and at a very affordable price!

How fun! I haven't been to Lake Geneva for many years, but we stayed at the French Country Inn -- which also has a wonderful restaurant overlooking water (it's not Lake Geneva...it might be Lake Como??) Kirsch's Restaurant has an outstanding wine list and it is an extremely romantic with a gorgeous setting. As I remember, reservations are a must-have.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Geneva Resort for our honeymoon last summer. They were awesome. They have some fabulous restaurants there. The chophouse was spectaular. The steaks melted in your mouth.

Also, if you let them know ahead of time, they will make cater to you for your special day. When we arrived there for our honeymoon, they brought us a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. They went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed.

Medusa- It was recommended to us by some of the locals. It was a small place so you need reservations. Sometimes it can be a little loud with conversation but the food is great and the ambiance relaxing. Have fun!
