Know of Any Good Baby Monitors?

I have gone through 4 monitors and am at a loss as to what to try. I'm not sure if its strange coincidence or something I'm doing. Any suggestions? I am to the point of considering a whole house system such as NU Tone. Anybody who's tried this?

What can I do next?

We have the video monitor, by Summer, I believe, and it is the best monitor! I love being able to just peek on the video screen to see if my little one is ok. I also keep it on my nightstand so I can check on him at night. It is worth every penny!!!! No running up and down the creaky stairs to check on him and possibly wake him up!

I don't really know of a good one but I can relate. We are about to purchase number 3! I have been reading some of the reviews for monitors and they all pretty much suck. We are going to get another $30 one and just know that it will probably only last about 2 1/2 years.
Good luck and if you do find a good one pass along the info!!

I LOVED my Sony one too. I also have a friend who loves the Sony monitors. When you think about it, it makes sense.....Sony are in the sound business unlike companies such as Fisher Price who specialize in toys !!!

I also have the Sony baby monitor and I've never had any problems and it got the best reviews when I researched them. Avoid getting one of those video monitors, I did research on those and many people complained that they would sometimes get signals crossed and see other people's babies? That freaked me out, with all the psychos out there these days, I don't want someone else watching my baby sleep or seeing me run into the room at 3am in my pjs! I didn't run across anything on the NU Tone in my research. Good luck in whatever you decide!

I have to agree with KH. We had to get a new monitor when ours broke after 5 years. I went to babies r us and was at a loss. I found the sommer one and it works great no problems. I dont see other children and my signals dont get crossed with anything else. Its by far the best small and easy to carry monitor that there is. I hope this helps you out a little. Also if you dont like it for any reason Babies r us will take it back no problems!!

We have a sony and a first years monitor. The first years one is still going after 3 years and lot's of falls. It came with 2 montors and 3 things you could put in rooms, so you can have one in each childs room. We lost a lot of the parts, but I like it a lot better than my Sony. We got the sony because it came highly rated, but it is fuzzy at times and doesn't work well when I am outside, even when I change the setting. The first years one is much better.

We have had the same problem. We ended up getting Angel Care and LOVED it. It comes with an under the mattress system as well, but we never used it. This has definately been our favorite monitor. It worked loud and clear, even from very far away! Hope this helps :)
