So What Happened?

I did that, but would like to order from a website that someone else has used if possible.

Buying the fake bags isn't illegal, but selling them is. It's called trafficking in counterfeit goods. Even if the seller tells the buyer they're fake, the minute the seller knowingly sell a knock-off bearing a passable designer label, it's a crime.
If you want to avoid being scammed, purchase legitimate goods from reputable sources. In a small way you will help get the global ecomony get back on track.

Oh the laws on that are good fun. I get mine the old fashioned way, buy them in NYC. Actually my daughter buys them since she actually has to money to go to NYC twice a year. :p

You should not be able to buy the ones with the logo on them online. They are very illegal. You can get them in NYC if you are brave enough to follow a sketch looking Asian who says handbag to you and then leads you to a basement with a false wall.....

And my daughter still wonders why I hated NYC. :p

I hate to support drug cartels and all, but my daughter is a purse fiend. I go to the most ghetto flea market/strip mall/swap meet I know of. I mean they have armed security! But they have the most gorgeous purses, all made in China of course. All between 35 and 45. You can find these places in every major city. You just have to ask around. Go in daylight with a friend. Dont leave valuables in the car! It's a jungle out there.

I would hate to think that I was supporting the mob, drug cartels, terrorists, or foreign countries that use lead and other carcinogens in the materials of these fake items. Just read something that said a North Face "down-filled" counterfit jacket was actually filled with chicken feathers, beaks and other parts of the chicken. Technically, it's also supporting the stealing of others' ideas, patents, designs, etc.

Not trying to get all preachy, but that's my opinion.

Not sure of any knockoff websites, but I do know that Coach Outlet stores (and online) are great. I got a great purse, and originally it was around $400 and I got it for under a $100.

My husband sells shoes, the legal ones. He did check out some websites that ended up selling fake stuff. They are mostly located in China and are horrible with customer service and difficult to reach if something is wrong with the product. They are more than happy to admit their stuff is "just like the real thing" right down to the logo.

That may be an idea?

just Google Search "knock off handbag websites." Or "knockoff purse websites." Many will come up.
