I have a porcelin sink. ( sp??) and it is cream color. I collect some hard particles from dirty dishes and such
that I can't scrub off. Also having a hard time getting stains out. I don't want to use a wire brush because it
will scratch, but I know that will get it off :0) SO, what cleaner or type brush will be safe to get this tough
stain out. thanks.

What can I do next?

Bon Ami...it's non-toxic and absolutely my favorite cleaner. it doesn't scratch, but does a beautiful job of cleaning up stains. I love this stuff. I think Bar Keeper's Friend is the same kind of stuff. I have a container of it under every sink. Just sprinkle some in and scrub it with a sponge and wipe it off.

If I am out of Comet I use Baking Soda and Vinegar. I have one solid sink so I use about a cup of BS and just enough vinegar to make a paste in the bottom of the sink. Scrub it with a green scrubby. I use BS & V on everything in my house. I dont like to use alot of the cleaning supplies because they are dangerous and the smells of some of them are terrible. Of course I use apple cider vinegar when cleaning so it smells better than white.
Just a few tips:
Try baking soda to clean your washing machine.
Instead of pouring bleach down stinky drains pour baking soda and vinegar down them. It will foam and fizzle but it cleans your drains and keeps them fresher longer.

I'VE GOT THE ANSWER, because I was going through the same thing. Get paper towels and soak them with plain white vinegar. Lay them on top of the stains, make sure it makes contact, and let it sit for a few hours. I swear to you the stuff will come right off.

I had the same problem with a white porcelain sink, someone recommended using King Klean and it works great. It takes out the black marks from pots that Comet and Soft Scrub wouldn't. It has the added benefit of cleaning your copper bottom pans too. You can find it in the grocery store with the cleaning products like Comet, it costs only a few dollars.

Bar Keepers Friend. It's amazing, and will not scratch. Use it with a non-abrasive sponge. (usually on the bottom shelf in the cleaning supplies)

I have ceramic sinks and hard water. Not sure who though that was a great combo, but it's not. By accident I fond that if I put a little oxi clean in hot water and let it sit in the sink, it takes the stains out. I've also done it with iron out. I usually let it sit overnight. I don't know if it would work with porcelain or not, may be worth a shot.

I always suggest using Bon Ami to clean porcelin sinks. It's like powered bleach, but gentler. I don't know what brush to recommend.

Hi S.,
I have the same kind of sink and I use Comet to clean it with a sponge and that usually works great. It gets the marks off the since left from pots and pans too. Good luck!
