Hi Moms

I am looking for bedroom furniture for my son's room. After doing quite a bit of internet searching, and browsing at a few local furniture stores I am frustrated. Furniture is very expensive so I am looking at is as an investment and one that I want to last for 15+ years. Does anyone know of a place that sells really good quality, wood furniture? Not cheaply made stuff that is going to fall apart...

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Try Ikea. Thier kids stuff is wonderful, durable, and very creative. There are two stores local..one in South Philly and one in Conshohocken. Good luck

We bought my daughter's furniture from Baby Supermart, which is located in Broomall. I knew I wanted to purchase from the Stanley Young America brand, which has a great reputation for being made of very high quality wood and is built to last for many years. We tried to buy the furniture from a store in North Carolina, which was offering a much lower price, but the bed kept being put on backorder, and they couldn't give us a definite delivery date, so we ended up buying the furniture from Baby Supermart, and were very happy with the outcome. They have a furniture showroom, but if you see a Stanley Young America set online that you like, you can just bring them the info, and they'll be able to order it for you right there. They also have great delivery and set-up service as well!
Good luck!

did you try Closic's in DE? They had furniture that was solid, but it was a little pricey. They always have a 10% coupon out.

We bought new furniture for my 4yr old in Pottery Barn and have been less than pleased. Not very well made and over priced.

Furniture.com has great furniture for decent pricing. My oldest two boys have had their bunk and dressers for 5 years and their dresser and our third son has had his captains bed for 3 years.

Raymour and Flanigan also has some great furniture, there is one in DE by the Concord Mall.
