Welcome to the area! Here are some places to look into for fun:

Morton Arboretum in Lisle
DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville
Naperville Riverwalk
Naper Settlement
Brookfield Zoo (about a 40 min drive but we get an annual membership and make good use of it!)
You also have a lot of parks and preserves in the area and the Great Western trail which is great for biking.
Odyssey Fun World is good for indoor amusements (at I-88 and Rt. 59)

Also check out kidwinks.com for other ideas and free event postings for your area. In the summer there are lots of movies and parties in the park thrown by park districts, as well as festivals.

Go to Phillips park zoo in Aurora. Its a small free zoo with those tall sprinklers for the kids to have fun and cool off, you will like it. Bring a picnic lunch, have fun. A.. I don't know the address so just goggle it.

May sound corny but... have you found a church to attend yet? I have met the most AMAZING friends through my church and they offer TONS of family events... (Good Shepherd Lutheran on 75th St near Rickert/Naperville-Plainfield Road in Naperville) www.welcomegrowserve.org

It's certainly a great place to meet like-minded families, if you are a christian. This particular church is very liberal, open and accepting of all people. Look around for a church that fits your denomination or affiliation, if you aren't interested in this one! You just might find a whole new world!

Adjacent to the Philips Park Zoo is also a small water park. I suggest visiting different parks/playgrounds as well.

Check out the Vaughn Athletic Center - their indoor pool is amazing! http://www.foxvalleyparkdistrict.org/

Hi A.!
My name is K. and maybe we can make a play date. I have a 2, 4, 7, and 14yr old. Youngest is a girl. I live in Aurora myself and all my family moved out of state. So we've been looking to make some new friends.
