I'm looking for a good jogging stroller. Any suggestions - easy to use (collapses easily), smooth ride and easy to handle & that I don't have to be a weight lifter to move it in and out of my car.

What can I do next?

Hi G.! I'm glad everyone enjoys the BOB Stroller b/c I will say that I have a Jeep Jogging Stroller and I like it just okay. It is very heavy and hard to navigate. But it has a few perks too, it does ride smoothly and it has speakers so my son and I can listen to my ipod while jogging. It is more reasonable in terms of price also.

Hi G.,

I don't have it yet, but will be getting the Bob Revolution. My friends highly recommend it. I went to Google and found the Bob website as well as REI's. Then I found it on the Babies R Us website and everyone who reviewed it gave it 5 stars. They mentioned you can control it with one finger, even the tip of your pinky!

I have been on bed rest 8 weeks tomorrow, so I have had plenty of time to research what I will need when Katie is born!

Good Luck,
J. D.

The BOB Revolution. It's awesome. Try REI Sporting Goods for the best price. They often have sales. They are not cheap, plan on about $320 to $350.

Hi G.,

I LOVE my Bob Revolution jogger! It's light, colapses easily and has a front swivle wheel which makes it so easy to push! They also make a double! I teach Baby Boot Camp which is stroller fitness for moms and use it daily. If you'd like to join me for a class please check us out at www.babybootcamp.com. Your first class is free! I teach in Plumas Lake and Marysville.

We love the BOB Revolution! We only have one little guy, so we have the single, but it is etremely smooth and easy to steer. It's not too heavy either, and I know they have a dualie. They sell them at REI and if you sign up for their e-newsletter online they will email you a discount coupon- I think it was as much as 20%, but I can't quite remember.

Have you looked at the Bob? We have the revolution (the model with the rotating front wheel - which you can lock in place), and we love it! It's really well-made, and for being a big stroller, folds up fairly compactly. It's very easy to steer with one hand, which is important. Bob makes a jogging-only version with a fixed front wheel. If you want a stroller purely for running, I hear that the fixed wheel versions are best, as they have larger wheels. But if you want a good general use "SUV" stroller (which even navigates the grocery store aisles), get the Bob Revolution. REI sells them - watch for a sale, especially when they clear out the 2007 models.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the BOB Revolution stroller. It is very well made, and the fold down function is fantastic! It is hefty, but not too bad. It can hold a child up to 70 lbs., so you have a lot of life in it. It fits into the trunk of my old (and very small) Toyota Corolla! My husband loves it because it rolls so smoothly, and the handles are tall enough for him at his height, which is nearly 6'2". It's comfy for me at 5'8" as well. Also we opted for the Revolution model because it has a swivel front wheel, which has made me able to maneuver this stroller in small places that even small strollers have trouble with, but for jogging, you can lock it into place. It has a 70% recline, which meant that we could have our son in it for walks at 6 weeks (not jogging until 6 months for safety sake), and my neighbor who also has one as well, has been pleased with the infant seat click in adaptor. It's pricey, but we have used this stroller so much that we have defintely gotten our money out of it, and it has excellent resale value as well. We really can't say enough about how much we love it. Also, if you get a BOB, just pony up and order the drink holder. It doesn't come with, which is frustrating, but it is really convenient.

Hope this helps!

We got a BOB Revolution and love it!!! My daughter just started sitting in it w/o the carseat and she seems to like it a lot. I would get the newer model (ie 2007) b/c there is a reclining feature that the older models don't have. This stroller feels sturdy, light, easy to handle & easy to collapse tightly. Good luck in finding a stroller!

Hey G.,
First of all, let me say that I am not a hard-core jogger. I walk a lot and occasionally jog. We just bought a Phil and Teds sport stroller and I love it. I wanted something that I could use for exercise but also take both my children in (just turned three and almost 6 months). The Phil and Teds rocks. I have been told that it's not great for real running--I think the Bob jogger is better for that--but if you're going to use it for everyday type stuff, then the Phil and Teds is good. It collapses easily, weighs about 24 pounds, and is easy to maneuver. Let me know if you want more info.

I just bought a "BOB" stroller and I absolutely LOVE it! I had purchased a Jeep jogging stroller and it weighed a ton, had horrible turning radius, etc. etc....The "BOB" stroller is fantastic...super light weight, collapses easily and doesn't even feel like I am pushing a stroller. It is expensive ( I paid $360 ), but I can actually use it!!!! Good luck!

We, too, use a BOB stroller. We have the BOB Revolution and love it. My husband jogs with it, but I take it hiking. It works great for both because the suspension makes for a comfortable ride for the baby. It is surprisingly easy to push, even up hill. The front wheel can be locked straight (for jogging) or unlock for walking, hiking, etc. Yes, it is pricey, but check out REI.

We also bought a Chariot for pulling behind the bicycle. It works great for that, but when we bought the attachment to make it a jogging stroller we were NOT pleased. It was heavy and cumbersome. (And the front wheel couldn't be unlocked.)

I run a mom and baby fitness class (www.fit-momma.com) and so get perks on different products. Right now, at joggermom.com, you can pick out a stroller and when you check out, enter "strider" into the coupon box information and get 5% off of any stroller you buy. You'll also get free shipping! Good luck!

I don't have one as my little girl has not arrived yet, but I know 3 people with Bob strollers that love them. They are quite pricey though. I know you can get them at REI.

I also run Baby Boot Camp classes (in the peninsula area of the bay area). Here's a useful article about picking a jogging stroller from our website: http://www.babybootcamp.com/pages/fitness_detail.aspx?fci...

While I've heard great things about the BOB, beware of the swivel wheel! It is not meant to be swiveling while you are jogging - most stores and salespeople don't tell parents that when they buy it. You can secure it, so read the manual if you purchase one.

If you do join baby boot camp classes, you can enter to win a Kelty jogging stroller!

Good luck with your search!
