I can totally relate to your situation. I too am a SAHM who can not afford the cost of day care and who has no one to watch my 3 year old daughter. I too feel lost a lot of the time. I also feel that there is more out there. I also have a 7 year old son who is in 1st grade. Still though, I have my daughter here at home that I have to take care of.

I have also been looking into some type of work from home job. I will share with you the things that I have found. There are several web sites I have for jobs you can do with your computer and phone. They are as follows:

There is one other company/website that offers a work from home type job and that is ChaCha. Have you ever heard of it. ChaCha is a search engine with live guides. I have signed up to work as a ChaCha guide. You can add other guides underneath you. Basically you yoruself earn a certain amount of money for each search you help with, then once you become a pro and have other guides under you, then you earn a certain percent of their commission on top of what you make.

Keep in mind there is no start up cost or money that you have to pay for any of these companies. The only requirements is that you have your own computer with high speed internet access and then a telephone for the other companies. I do think for the other companies you have to have a long distance plan. Still though that is not bad.

I know of two. I am currently working with them. the first is liveops.com and the second is workathomeagent.com. Check those out and see what you think. They are both telemarketing jobs taking infomercial orders using your phone and your computer. I thought it was a hoax at first. But my cousin, who is a stay at home mom also, advised me that it was not. So far, I am doing good. You have to take a few tests before being able to work. But once you pass it, you are good to go. I understand. I am working on two jobs but I just started working as a consultant for Passion Parties (parties for women 18+). Talk about profitable and fun. My first party was last weekend and I made $150 profit in a couple of hours. These kind of parties are in high demand I rarely have someone that request a party not follow thru.......

Sometimes I would be on a call and my son would wake up and would need my attention. So I'd have to put the caller on hold while trying to hurry and tend to my son and that just got to be too much. With AmeriPlan, you're your own boss and most of the individuals who are part of the team are stay at home moms so there's a certain level of understanding. Most of the work I do from home but I don't have to worry about the house being quiet. My son can make as much noise as he wants to. Plus I take him along with me while I'm out passing out fliers and brochures. So I'm loving the freedom that AmeriPlan is giving me. I have read much about the work-at-home scams, which is what most of them are. The sales jobs (Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, jewelry, etc.) are all valid and can even be fun if you like to shop, but they rarely pay enough to equal the work needed to be successful. The only at-home job I've heard of that seems to bring in real money, is childcare. However, I believe you have to be a certain type of person to handle the stress and inconvenience. Plus, if you want to be insured and licensed, you'll still be spending out of pocket to start.

I think the best bet for moms with kids, is to find a place to work that offers childcare. Some schools and preschools do this (you could be a teacher's aide, or work in a cafeteria, etc.). I worked at a YMCA when my kids were young, in the childcare, and my kids were allowed to be with me.

I know the options are few. But the good news is, as your daughter grows, the cost for her childcare will decrease. Hang in there and God bless.
