JFF: What Kind of Purse Lady Are You?

I love purses and bags. Constantly switching my bags around for fun and it seems like I can't fit things in my smaller bags anymore. I'm a Vera Bradley gal and I also have a nice big Coach bag. I need pockets that can hold all kinds of kid stuff and anything I could possibly need if I'm out. I carry an extra binky, fruit snacks, lollipops, handi wipes, sanitizing wipes, tissues, hand lotion, antibacterial gel, few coupons, medicine.... I feel naked without my stuff. Occasionally I will switch to a tiny over the shoulder purse if I'm going somewhere and don't feel like lugging my 2 ton purse. My kids are 11 months and 3 1/2 years old and even though I have my diaper bag loaded with stuff, I just need my mom purse. I've seen some moms just carry a tiny purse... I don't know how they do it everyday. I've always been a carry- it all gal, even before kids. How about you?

What can I do next?

I like soft bags. Love my Vera Bradleys for that reason alone -- plus the pockets! (You'd think that would organize me, huh?)

I just hate stiff bags....cloth or really soft leather for me.
Brand is unimportant--it just has to "feel" right to me.

You could be me. Seriously. Love me some Veras, and big ones at that, with lots of pockets for organization. But I will pull out a nice little Coach if I'm going somewhere special where I won't 'need' my kitchen sink. LOL

I usually have a medium or big bag because I need to carry kid stuff. I like my bags to be colorful and bright. If I am heading out without the kids, I will just take my cell, keys and wallet or cash/debit card.

I don't do purses.

I carry my money in my back pocket or if Im using my debt card then I only take that. Otherwise it is left in my top dresser drawer. As for drivers license, we only have one car so its left in there in an envelope with my reg. and ins. papers. My cell phone is in my sweat shirt pocket.

Other than that, there isn't really anything I feel I need to take with me when I go anywhere. Plus after so long of not using one when I do I usually forgot it where ever Im at lol

I hate purses. I normally carry a backpack as a diaper bag. If I go anywhere sans kids, I either carry a tiny purse big enough to carry my keys, phone, and wallet or I just stuff them all in my pockets. Men are so lucky, because their pockets are always big enough to hold everything.

I carry everything in my purse.... I weighed it yesterday and it was over 10 lbs. I have an addiction to purses. I gave away / sold on ebay about 50. I still have well over 100. Addicted.... I have a few that were gifts that were super expensive (2 Guccis, 1 Valentino, 2 original Chloes, all huge). I LOVE PURSES!!! I have coaches, dooneys, cole haans, isabella fiores, all the way down to the $5 bag I got on broadway the first time I was in New York (love that one too). I love variety and change out purses, maybe monthly, or when I get a new one. They all have to be huge. They are all mostly hobo style or shoulder totes. I definitely love certain types. It is a little ridiculous. It has definitely become a joke with my MIL. She has over 100 pairs of shoes and I have purses. :)

IF I even carry one... Small, neutral in color, had the same one for years, and it fits everything I need in it. If my kids are with me, I have a separate bag for that. But then again.... I'm a mechanic... I don't need no stinking purse! : )

No, I don't like girly purses and am not a purse person! I use an outdoorsy wallet kind of thing. The kind of bag you buy at REI. It is cute though with a flower on it. I have a patterned purse my friend made (she is very crafty) that I will occasionally use. Normally I'll put my wallet bag into a cute tote bag.

I AM a big purse person, but since I have 3 kids now and a new baby, I have been doing more diaper bags that looks like purses. With all the stuff I carry around now, when I have the kids with me, I just cannot carry around my own purse. I have a couple JPLizzy diaper bags that you wouldnt even know it was a diaper bag, I love them!!
For me only, I usually dont go real expensive, because if I had my choice I would have several Chanel bags and thats just not in the budget. :(
I prefer to spend the major money on shoes and jeans. :)

I am the minimlist purse lady. My husband kids me about how little I carry even with a baby. I do not carry a diaper bag since they are just way too bulky. Plus no matter how stinking hard I try everything I need winds up at the bottom.

I always carry a midsized purse which double as the diaper bag when we go out. I change out my purse at least once a month or depending on the outing. No carry on luggage for me. If it can fit my Pug, it's way toooooo big. I love variety and colours so I'm all over the place there. My current love is to a find a nice eggplant colour. It won't match anything but it'll be fun. I prefer good quality purses bought on sale or at discount stores. My current one is a green Anne Klein which I got for $20 when it originally was priced over $100. I can't spend more than $50 or I pass out at the register. One time my husband bought me a $300 purse. With his permission and understanding, I returned it and bought a wonderful set of Fiestaware.

I have a Coach Diaper bag that I got well after my kids were out of Diapers. It is loaded. It will fit my laptop if I need it in there. When I travel I sometimes use it as a carry on. And I have a smaller cross body coach bag I got to keep passports, boarding passes, id's, etc. I take the long strap off and pack the bare essentials when I go out with my husband. I do have a medium size coach bag that I occasionally switch to. I am not coach crazy but they are the ones that last so that is pretty much what I am down to. =0) And you can score great deals on them at the factory stores.

I have a love/hate relationship with purses. I'm 44 and have yet to find the "perfect" purse. I have a ton of huge ones, mostly black, and I have a lot of the little "wallet" ones with long straps and they are all black too. I go back and forth between the two styles. I do have a crazy streak where I will buy one that isn't black but then I switch back. I don't buy name brands or spend more than $20 on a purse because I *know* it will only be a quick moment that I'm switching it once again. I recently gave about 20 purses to Goodwill because I realize that when I switch, there is a reason, and I will not likely go back and use it again...so why hold on to it??!! So I guess I go between a big purse and a wallet purse, nothing really in between...maybe thats the problem? I need a MEDIUM size purse! =)

I LOVE purses. But I don't usually spend a lot on them because I'm sorta cheap like that, so only a few name brand ones that I've picked up over the years. I do love vintage ones though and have found some beautiful ones on e-bay... I went through a big carpet bag phase, and a beadwork phase, and a leather patchwork phase...

Pockets are a much for my with any everyday purse. I can't handle digging to the bottom for everything I'm looking for.

I usually have ONE very expensive medium sized bag (and only one for years). It can be a brand or not, I'll just know it when I see it and move the earth and stars to get it when that happens. I have little more than a wallet, pens, note book and lipstick, in it. Nowadays there is usually a diaper and some wipes in it too just in CASE.

I am a carry everything gal, too, but I don't do multiple bags to match my outfits nor Vera Bradley. I am pretty conservative and more of a "classic" dresser. I carry a brown leather Fossil bag. Not small. Not big. It has compartments and zippers inside and the outside has two small slots on either end. EVERYTHING in my purse has "a place". But I cannot stick extraneous things in it (like hubby's sunglasses, lol). It has a removable shoulder strap and regular hand hold handles.

I am very particular when I shop for a purse and do not switch them out. I wear them out, then buy a new one. ;) It is SUCH a pain to change everything out from one purse to another.
Cough strips, lipsticks, compact, pens, pencils, wallet, coupon wallet, advil, neosporin, nail clippers, change, keys, phone, emory board, discount cards, chapstick, dental floss, etc....... It's just too much to try to move it all, and I don't want to leave ANY of it behind! lol

I have the Mary Poppins purse! I have toys, snacks, Tums, tylenol, baby tylenol, spare change, a L. umbrella, just about anything lol!!

I especially love my purse bc it has a center pocket that is my saviour! I keep an extra diaper for each of k boys, and a thin pack of wipes. I have used those spare diapers on a few occasions :-)

I really loved carrying a backpack when I lived in China. It seemed a little dangerous, since someone could've unzipped while I wasn't looking; I was fortunate this never happened. I would love to start wearing a stylish one here in the states (not sure if they look all that good; I have a couple of medium-sized beige/neutral ones) but I'd still have the problem of wondering what was going on behind me.

Right now, I carry a big clunker with anything & everything in it. lol

I Love looking at fashion and when other people use it to define themselves. I'm all about comfort though.....I had a backpack purse that could also be worn as a shoulder bag. I used that 'til I had to stop. Now I have an over the shoulder bag, microfiber with lots of zippers. The zippers make it look fun but they are very practical.

I'm the exact same way, need to have all my stuff all the time, just in case.... I don't believe in needing anything and not having it. Now that I have a baby, carry less for myself and more for him. His diaper bag has its own pen and Sharpie and mini flashlight. All just in case....

My favorite bag has always been Coach, because I love the quality and the look of the leather.

I currently have a big, shiny gray Vera Wang bag I got for Christmas last year & have carried every day since because I love it so much. It's the first ever pricey bag I've owned & I would really kind of like another one, but I have a very hard time asking for a bag that costs over $100.

LOVE my Michael Kors bags and my Coach bags. I have expensive purse taste, but I use them daily for years so I don't mind spending $400 on one if I use it for years! I don't switch them out very often - that takes too much time!
