I was just wondering what you other Mom's do after you put your children down for naps or after they have gone to bed for the night? I usually do the rest of the house work that I didnt finish through the day, and prepare for dinner. Sometimes I will sew or read too. Thanks in advance for all the answers ladies!

What can I do next?

Sigh, my kids don't actually seem to ever go to sleep. They're all teenagers, I go to bed WAY before they do! Enjoy every single ONE of those naps Sistas!

Mine doesn't take day naps anymore but when she goes to sleep at night I come here, watch TV, clean the house a little bit, call my husband if he is away.

Sit on this site, check email, scan Facebook and clear off my dvr. That ALONE is a job in it self some days.

I usually clean up the house enough so my husband doesn't have to kick his way thru the livingroom when he gets home from work. :)

I am so tired when they go sleep, that I go to bed also. I may stay up a little bit and watch tv, but I am a teacher so I start early. I have to get a decent amount of sleep.

Assuming chores are done and they are down for the night I indulge in trash TV (Real Housewives, Bethany, etc) while multi-tasking on the internet AND sometimes eat a special treat (Ben & Jerry's) that I don't have to share! That's my trifecta! :)

My son is in bed. Not quite asleep yet. So I am just here reading on mamapedia until he falls asleep.. Sometimes this is when I play my online sweepstakes too. Sometimes I finish dishes or watch tv. But dishes are done and husband is watching something about spiders on animal planet or sci-fi chanel. I am NOT watching something like that before bed!

During nap time, I might try to finish up some housework, or take a nap myself. Once DD is in bed for the night, I'm on the computer (like now!) or just relax with hubby watching TV or catching up on reading.

Our kids are 15, 11 and 8 and all of them are in their rooms at 8pm. They don't have to go to sleep, but they have to stay in there! That leaves a couple hours or more for me and hubby to do as we wish! Usually getting caught up on the day, what we'll do for the weekend, watch tv or dvr, sometimes I read and I'm "trying" to start a new hobby of making bracelets, and of course some crazy love makin'! ;o)

My kids don't nap anymore but after they go to sleep at night I...wipe down kitchen from dinner, set the coffee pot for the morning, take a shower and watch some Netflix with the husband, currently we are working our way through season 2 of 'Sons of Anarchy' (great show! BTW)...my sister brought us her copy of 'Black Swan' to watch but we still haven't gotten around to it yet!

Night time: couch with hubby. But hubby brings home so much work that I watch tv and he does faxes on line. sometimes my bible study and sometime bath and or read. But mine are still so little its usually my first and only kid free break and my baby wakes me twice a night, so i have only an hour before z'ssssssssssss and frequently I find I've fallen asleep on sofa with husband 1/2 hour into this blissful kid free time.
morning baby nap: house work (15 min of mama source/ email/ facebook)
Afternoon nap if by some miracle they sleep at the same time (15 min of mama source/ email/ facebook and if time left over housework/ dinner prep)

I get on here :)

Really though, I will usually clean up the breakfast mess that usually is still out and not picked up yet during nap time and start lunch for when they wake up. They are both in bed now and here I am! Soon I will be heading out to the store though. I need to be sure my 3 year old stays in bed before I leave, so what a better excuse than to be on Mamapedia!

During nap time I usually clean up a little or read. I get everything I need to get done during the day so at night I can sit in bed and watch tv or play on the computer. On occasion I fold some laundrey but I try to finish so I can have some down time.

I do homework for school mostly. I am usually up till 2am every night writing a paper or reading a text. I check into here for "breaks". There have been some nights where I have had to stay up all night to finish a project, and then go to school and work the next day.(and I am getting waaay to old for that!) I dearly miss the days where I could just read for leisure or knit or sew or SLEEP when the baby went to sleep!:)
