Did your feet grow after having babies? Mine did a little each time (1/2 size) and the last time also now a wide. Went to foot dr for new orthotics and then on for new shoes and YIKES! my feet are starting to look like clown feet! LOL

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for sharing!!! When I used to sell shoes they trained me that happened but I haven't really heard it with anyone I know! But now I know I'm not completely crazy and it does really happen!

I started off as an 11, and thankfully they did not get bigger, but they did get wider (from narrow to average).

Yeah; I win ~!! 8 1/2 to snug 11 ! Seriously. Could fine ALL of the cute shoes ten years ago - now I'm over.the.moon to find my size in anything feminine ! The only consolation is my son's feet stretched to a men's 8 before his 11th birthday. Now that ought to be a trick locating shoes for those feet in a few years !

Mine grow out :( I'm a 7.5 technically, but have to wear an 8 after my first son, and I'm now a wide. I'm pregnant now and hoping they don't grow anymore, it's tough enough to find wide shoes anywhere other than the internet.

I went from a 8 sometimes 8.5 and now I actually own two pairs of tens! Typically I buy a 9 or 9.5 though. I only experienced "foot growth" with my second pregnancy though. I wore flip flops a lot while I was pg (she was a summer baby) and we went on vaca to California when she was a few weeks old and I had to buy new tennis shoes because they were so much too small. I hadn't really noticed because I had only been wearing sandals. So we made a mad dash to the mall before going to the airport on for our return flight. DH was none to happy about that, because of course I wouldn't pick out just any old shoe, it had to be the right pair. :)

Yes, before kids I wore a size 6 and half or 7 and not I wear a 9 and half. Honestly I think that the shoe sizes changed also just like clothes sizes. I know I wore a size 7 when I was in high school and my daughter wore a size 5 but when she tried on one of my outfits it was to small. I think shoes are the same. Also when you put on weight your feet have to grow to give you balance... they don't shrink back down though.

No, but I swear they got wider. I wear a 5 1/2, 6 (depends on the shoe, I'm small) but some of my favorite heels are snug in the width now (which is weird because usually this material stretches well!) The good news about my wider feet... I get my BFF's daughters hand me down shoes!! Kids shoes are notoriously wider and my goddaughter just outgrew a pair of North Face snow boots.... woo hoo, lucky me!! ;)

Yeah, mine grow from 5.5 to 6 and some I can use as 6.5. They also got a little wide too. In my case I didn't mind to much because it was so hard to find shoes for me sometimes, so all of the weight and grow after the baby, this is my favorite one =)

Mine did not grow when I had my DD and I pray it stays that way. I'm already in an 11.5 Wide! I mean, who has feet like that???!!!

I always wore 8.5. But during pregnancy it went up to 9.5. Then after pregnancies and pregnancy weight were gone it went down to 9ish. These days (10 years post deliveries) they are back to almost my original size. Which is awful, because 8.5 is a little bit snug, but 9's are to big on me. :(

Yes!! I was an 8 1/2 in high school & college, was a 9 to 9 1/2 after my first and I'm now a 10 after my second. Talk about clown feet! There's not a lot of cute shoes in the upper sizes and it's expensive to have to get all new shoes each time I changed.

Size 7 before and 7 after. I was just told by a shoe salesperson that size 7 is now the LEAST common size (when I was younger it was the most common size). Size 9 is now the one they get the most inventory in because it sells the most.

I thought that was an old wives tale because I'm a 7 1/2 and my size didn't change after either of my kids...but after reading these responses I realize that maybe I just got lucky...however if we were to talk pant sizes that would be a different story!
