I have started to lose the excess baby weight from my son, but all the skin just hangs off my sides and front. It is not flattering. Does anyone know how to get rid of the dagging skin?

Happy Holiday's Kritina! I am a Certified Personal Trainer. I had hyper-amniotic fluid. I had no stretch marks and hadn't gained much weight up to 8 1/2 months then bam my fluid started filling me up and I got huge. I had been in labor since the 4th month and on bed rest. My bodyfat shot up to 30 percent. After I had her I thought I'd never get my body back. It was 7 months after I had her and I decided to accept my new "Mom" figure. I just kept working out and enjoying it. After 2-3 more months I started triming and tightening. Co-workers asked me if I was going to compete. I hadn't thought of it and wasn't sure I could ever do it because of the skin sagging from my belly. Then 6 wks before a Competitve Figure show a decided to give it a go. I did it! The skin is still not perfect but I placed 2nd and won the Hot Mama Crowd Favorite. You can do it. First accept your body and you! You are beautiful and you are sporting a gorgeous Mom Figure right now. Make sure to exercise regularly and eat healthy! Lots of veggies, fruit, whole grains, dairy and meat. 6 small meals a day. What helped me most was working out 2 times a day 30 minutes each time. I know everyone uses the excuse of no time but it is there and you can do it! Remember you cannot spot reduce it has to come from a full body weight workout 3 x's /wk and cardio 5-6 days a week! There is so much more feel free to call me for more advice ###-###-####! Have a great day! Hang in there!

Hi K.,
Congratulations on your new baby boy.
Yes I do know how to share some
natural tummy tuck steps.

Un denatured protein to help tighten
and rebuild the muscles.

Nutritional cleansing to release the toxins
and fat.

Then as you are multi tasking
tighten your tummy and count to 20
then release.
Do this all day as your
taking care of your family.

I have helped many Moms and Grandma-ma's
cleanse, replenish and rejuvinate.

There is more to share and would love
for you to investigate my profile.

There click on my wolfeagle site and
watch a short video of Dr Becky who
talks about this in detail.

Happy Holiday,

C.

The best thing I found after my kids (and I really need to get back to it with this one :) was this: Do as many situps in a day EVERY day for two weeks straight as you can. Whenever you have a spare moment, crack some out, but have a goal. Mine was 50 for day one, 55 day two, etc. etc. It sounds like a LOT, but over the course of a day, if you hit your goal, you feel great (like you acomplished doing ALL the wash!) Also, you do notice an enormous change after even a week, no matter how psycho all those sit ups sound, thats a tried and true method I found for very low cost. Also, as a side note: I used my couch to stick my toes under to hold me while I did them, and check that you're doing them properly to avoid injury. Good luck :)

Bicycle crunches worked for my saggy skin! I felt like one of those women on National Geographic before I started to do them! It does work and make sure you drink LOTS of water!!

Hi K.,

I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I've been trying to regain my pre-baby shape for about 6 months. Even though I have lost the pounds and fit into my old clothing, I still have a "muffin top," which I have heard it referred to (especially a front pooch). I started lifting weights about a month ago and I am starting to see a change. If you are a member of a gym, you might see if they have a weightlifting class. Before, I was doing a lot of cardio, which I think helped me lose weight. But, the weighlifting has helped me tone my body (more than just my stomach too). Pilates is also really good. Good luck!

Yes you need to tone and tighten, then water to flush, ab work to tighten... the right ab work. Not just crunches. you need to do decline crunches, bicycles( count to 10 each side, then hold position with one leg extended, count for ten, then hold opposite leg out for ten, then go right back into your second set of 10, reps 10-12 each side, 3 sets.
Watch your food intake; check what you’re eating; the right nutrition makes a world of difference in how you body reacts. Strong abs takes work and proper eating. The skin will follow as you build stronger tighter abs. Get a balance ball and lay on your back, legs extended straight out, place ball between your legs and raise them up, meanwhile bring arms straight out and up to meet the ball as you bring it up while its still between your legs, grab ball from legs, arms with ball in hand touch floor behind your head (legs touch floor straight in front at the same time). Repeat each movement, hands to leg with ball... ball to floor. Reps 12-15 3 sets
