Have you tried putting white vinegar in the water when you wash them? Usually vinegar helps set the color. Try that and see if it helps.

My son has very fair skin. When he wears blue jeans, his legs turn bluish/gray from the dye. All brands do it... Gap, Lands' End, Target, and it doesn't matter how many times they've been thru the laundry. It is tough to wash off. I really have to scrub him with a wash cloth and it still doesn't all come off. Sometimes I make a point of putting him in sweats for a couple days, so it will naturally slough off. He's playing indoor soccer tomorrow in shorts and everyone will probably think he hasn't bathed in weeks!!!
Anyone have the same problem and found a solution?

Try putting Salt in the wash with the clothes - it is meant to hold the dye of the jeans in for longer it should also keep them from bleeding to his skin - are you washing them inside out too?
Vinegar will set the dye. I'm a knitter and use vinegar to set dye all the time.
Maybe have him wear a pair of long johns under the jeans?
In addition to vinegar to set the color, wash his legs with a washcloth (to slough off dry skin) and put lotion on him before dressing -- it will help keep the dye off of him.
liquid starch is suppose to prevent that....you can get it at walmart or target
