Hello...

I didn't really want this to be on the website anymore. Things didn't turn out well and I'd rather not be constantly reminded. Sorry.

What can I do next?

L., had the same thing happen in 74 with my son Jesse. No complications and he is a healthy 31 yr old. I did go into labor early but not due to the IUD. Stop worrying!!! Thats the worst you can do and it won't change things!!

I can only say thank The Good Lord you got it removed.
My sister had her whole pregnancy with it in, due to fear of miscarriage. Her baby has therapy 5X per week to try to catch it up to babies its age. I Love that boy more than life itself, but I also wish he had a chance to be like other children. I can only pray that if he doesnt catch up, he wont know he's at all different. Even if there WAS something wrong with your baby, I can tell you by watching this boy, I wouldnt wish for him to be any different in personality. He's the SWEETEST most LOVEABLE creature on the planet. Even in some sadness, love and family prevail. If you have a strong support system, you can overcome anything.
Good Luck, and Many prayers to you. No matter the outcome, you would NEVER love your child any less. I guarantee you.

I do not know of any complications due to this except miscarriage when removed. I don't know much about the IUD. Hopefully someone is able to answer your question.

My only question is why didn't the clinic do a pregnancy test before inserting the IUD?

Congratulations on the surprise pregnancy! When are you due?

I can't say from my own experience, but I have a little brother (23) and a cousin (also 23) who were the result of failed IUD's. Both are very healthy (and always have been) and are starting thier own families now.

No but the place should have tested you first before incersion! I'd just talk to your doctor! Good luck!

First off, anytime you go and get birth control like an IUD, the doctor is SUPPOSED to do a pregnancy test. I do not trust "Local Health Clinics", try to find yourself an OBGYN, you definitely need one now. Talk to your doctor about your concerns. You are not the only one who has had a bad experience with a Health Clinic.
