I just took a shower and when I looked at myself in the mirror, well let's just say it is time to get take action. I haven't worked out in years and it shows. I am going to dust off the treadmill, plug in the ipod and get moving. Please tell me a song, or two that makes you want to move. Not a decade "anything from the 80's" not just a groups name. I am going to make my own playlist. Forget swimsuits, I am dreading wearing shorts!!!

This flabby forty-somethin' year old thanks you in advance!!

Download anything with the name ZUMBA in it. There are a lot of zumba mixes out there and they are all high energy upbeat songs with Latin and hip hop beats. Daddy Yankee and Pit Bull songs are played often in Zumba class, as well as Shakira, and Beyonce. I love to get my workout on to driving hiphop beats. I love Jay-Z, Kanye, Missy Elliott, Timberland. Most of the East Coast and Atlanta rappers are high energy and fast.

I probably have some different sorts of songs for you, so maybe that's a good thing. Do you like a little country? My taste is rather eclectic, and because I have little kids, it's a bit on the old side, too :)

Ireland by Garth Brooks (it starts out a little slow, but then gets your heart pumping!)
Long Time Gone by the Dixie Chicks
Me Neither by Brad Paisley
This Kiss by Faith Hill
Callin' Baton Rouge (Live, if you can get it) by Garth Brooks
Wrapped Up In You by Garth Brooks
Somebody Like You by Keith Urban
Every Time You Say Goodbye by Allison Krauss
When You're With Me by LoneStar
This Everyday Love by Rascal Flatts
The Race Is On by Sawyer Brown

Walking On Broken Glass by Annie Lennox
I Say A Little Prayer by Aretha Franklin
Be True to your School by The Beach Boys
Fun, Fun, Fun by The Beach Boys
A New Day Has Come by Celine Dion
What Would You Say by The Dave Matthews Band
Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride from the Lilo & Stitch Soundtrack
Rio by Duran Duran
Oh L'Amour by Erasure
Good Thing by Fine Young Cannibals
She Drives Me Crazy Fine Young Cannibals
I Need You Tonight by INXS
I'll Make a Man Out of You from the Mulan Soundtrack
Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood (also from Zoolander Soundtrack)
Smooth (I have a remake, so I don't know the original singer)
Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard by Simon & Garfunkel
Tainted Love by Soft Cell
Eye of the Tiger by Survivor (from Rocky)
You Take Me Up by Thomspon Twins
She's a Lady by Tom Jones
Hungry Like the Wolf by Duran Duran

If you're willing to go Latin and download some songs, there are some great fast samba beats.
Vem Meu Amor by Banda Eva (in Portuguese)
Nabucodonosor (that means Nebuchanezzar) by Banda Eva (in Portuguese)
Santo Santo by Gloria Estefan and Alexandre Pires (it's in Spanish)
Apaixonada por Voce by Wanessa Camargo (Portugues)

I just went through my personal collection on my hard drive. I would think you can find something you like from my list! And thanks, I plopped 'em all into a play list called "Get Movin!" so I can look a better in my shorts this summer, too!

I have no clue who it's by... but it's 'i'm gonna start a fight'... I think that's the name at least. (It's the one where the chourus is 'so what, I'm still a rock star, I got my rock moves, and I don't need you tonight, I'm all right...' lol)

I also like Nickelback's 'something in your mouth' and 'burn it to the ground'... they are really high-tempo and get your blood pumping. :)
