Is There a Parent Support Group for ADHD Kids in the HEB Area?

I am looking for a support group of other parents who have ADHD children and experience the same stress and frustration as we do. Many times we feel all alone as our daughter cannot go to sleepovers, or camps, etc. because of her behavior. I know about CHADD, but I want a place where we can talk with other parents and exchange ideas and support each other through the rough times when are mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted from raising a child with ADHD.

What can I do next?

Hi L., I, like Laura (who also responded) have a daughter with ADD and ODD. Perhaps the three of us should plan an outing and let off some steam! It's a life filled with days of exhaustion, frustration and other parents who are killed telling you not to medicate, suggesting natural medications, and then my favorites, the parents who think you are just overreacting! My daughter will be 11 in December, and parts of your life do get easier. If you'd like to email me directly, send me a note and I'll respond. Have a great day, and hang in there!

My son has not been diagnosed, but I could of used a group when I wanted more information and to talk to other parents about testing, etc. My suggestion would be to get with the other moms and start a group on Meetup.com You can charge an annual fee of $5 person to cover your cost. I know if you do a group for the HEB area you will find you have more than enough parents showing an interest. Good luck and let me know if you do start one.

Hi L.,

My heart goes out to you, as well as my prayers! You can benefit from less stress, and your daughter will be able to have fun at activities with other children with adaptogens working in your body! I highly recommend an incredible book titled Adaptogens: Herbs for Strength, Stamina, and Stress Relief by Winston and Maimes. From the book "There is a category of herbs called adaptogens that help the human body adapt to stress, support normal metabolic processes, and restore balance. They increase the body's resistance to physical, biological, emotional, and environmental stressors and promote normal physiologic function".

The 10 most potent adaptogens on the earth, with the highest therapeutic properties available are now delievered in a fast acting oral spray, called Tunguska Mist.

Go to www.VitalHealth.TunguskaMist.com to learn more.

Many parents have had wonderful results using the Tunguska Mist Pure to help restore balance in their children and improve their focus. Teachers often comment that the student's behavior is significantly improved, and grades go from C's and D's to A's and B's. In fact, one parent even reported that their child was called a "model student".

Tunguska Mist Pure boosts the immune system, increases mental clarity and focus, increases energy and stamina, and enhances physical performance. It tastes great, and with the intra-oral spray, over 90% of the nutrients in Tunguska Mist get absorbed immediately, and go to work within seconds.

Please let me know if you have any questions. My husband and I have been taking adaptogens for a long time, and we are passionate about helping people reduce the damaging effects of stress and restore balance NATURALLY, without medications. Good luck and God Bless:)

Best regards,
N.
