Is My Son the Only One That Strips down Naked to Use the Bathroom?

I don't think my daughter did this. My son has to take off all his clothes to use the bathroom, never for number one but all the time for number two. I'm not really sure why he does it, and when I ask him he doesn't give me much of an answer. Maybe he's afraid he'll get his clothes dirty...then again, sometimes he goes in there with no pants on but will still take off his shirt and socks.

Do your children strip to use the bathroom?

EDIT: He's three years old. I forgot add that. I won't let him take them off in a public restroom, but if I did, I think he would.

My oldest son did this every time he went #2. He may still do it, but he's 14 now, so I no longer see him in the restroom. :)

Andy will do it at home, thank god not at school. He can't explain it either and he is almost 13. Andy is my spectrum kid so he is not normal by any means. My older son did it until he was three. I think he got tired of me making him put the clothes back on that he figured just leave them on.

my youngest son did. And I also remember doing so when I was little. Not sure why though. I guess so I didn't feel confined so much with the clothes on.

my son doesnt get completely naked but refuses to have his pants around his ankles so he takes his pants completely off every time he goes to the bathroom (pee or poop). Its a real pain in public restrooms since we have to take his shoes and everything off to do this but i would rather him do that and go in the potty than have to go back to changing his diapers.

This is hilarious, because I've been thinking the same thing! I have a 9year old and a 6 year old and both of them do it- but my daughter doesn't! I always thought that was a little strange, but maybe it's not as strange as I thought! Thanks for sharing, makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one whose sons do that!

LOL my son used to do this too!
Only for number two.
He left his shirt on but took off his undies, pants, shoes and socks.
I think it stopped when he was around four or five, and he could never really explain why he did it, just that he "needed" to :)

lol...no, he's not. I vowed after my first son's bad aim, that I would insist on everybody sitting after that...but my 4 year old won't sit unless he's stark naked...but he will stand. So...I let him stand...and he's become quite an exceptional toilet seat cleaner :)

No. DD usually keeps her clothes on in public, but at home I'm often saying, "Why are you naked? Where are your panties/pants/socks?" She'll say various things, usually along the line of not wanting to get pee on her panties. She usually leaves a shirt on, but a nightgown is 50/50.

That's cute, but perhaps sometimes inconvenient or exasperating.

It seems that lots of kids love getting naked, often all the way to school years. My daughter looked for any opportunity to get out of her clothes. It never occurred to her that she could do this for using the bathroom, however. She missed it – she's 41 now, and raising a 6yo son who still likes to be naked.

If my eldest knew I was telling anyone this, she'd be mortified. She's 11 1/2 and she's done this ever since she was toilet training. I know of a lot of adults who do this although most are men.

My son is almost 4 and does this occasionally. He used to do it all the time - but he also typically ran around "naked" - diaper/underwear and nothing else! So once he started wearing clothes more often, they came off when using the bathroom. He's been keeping them on most of the time now, but every once in awhile he'll strip before heading in.

My sons I think both stripped from the waist down sometime the shirt would come off cause it was habbit to take it off when he got undressed. They did not like their pants around their ankles they felt constrickted.

Good luck and God Bless!

I do this at night - take it all off and then sit down to pee. Then I brush my teeth naked.

My husband told me recently that he thinks I have a sensory processing disorder, because I am become easily bothered by bright lights, loud noises, tight clothes, itchy clothes, constricting things on my feet, constricting things around my neck and hands. I won't wash dishes with rubber gloves because I don't like the feeling of my hands in the gloves.
