How many times a day/week do your kids fall and skin their knees? Just wondering what is normal. She eats/sleeps fine, has good behavior, I am just wondering if her head is just ahead of her body and she doesn't pay attention and trips (about 4 x week).........?

What can I do next?

Regarding the vision . . . she could have technically perfect vision and still have visual issues. My son is 20-20 but he had a SEVERE visual processing disorder. He, too, seemed more clumsy than my older son. You might want to seek out a developmental optometrist (as opposed to your regular eye doctor). We have done visual training, as well as intense work with a reading specialist - all of which seems to have helped him tremendously. He's also about to become a black belt in karate - that helped him too.

You may also want to have her evaluated to see that her fine and gross motor skills are on track for her age.

Great job being on top of this. It's probably a mild issue, if anything at all - but I do applaud your attention to it.

Good luck.

Have you have her eyes checked? May be she is having issues seeing. I would definantly have it checked out. I would have that and her ears checked to make sure her ears are alright and her equlilibrium is not off. She could be having vertigo? Have these thing checked out. Something is going on if she is falling these many times a day,

That is frequently a sign of needing classes, so you might want to get a vision test with the eye doctor (not just the pediatrician). Other than that, kids do fall. My older daughter (7) has never skinned her knee - she is just a cautious child and she literally thick skinned I think. My little one (3) falls more but gets mostly bruises becaus eI keep her in pants. At four, I would expect her coordination to improve, hence my suggestion about her eyes, but kid do fall.

My 5 year old is! She walks into shelves at the grocery store, constantly bumps into things, etc... I even had her checked by and ENT because I thought maybe some inner ear something or other was throwing off her equilibrium. No, she's just soooo un-graceful ;)

Are her feet pointing in the right direction or is she dragging her feet? My DD used to trip and fall a lot more because she turned in one of her feet frequently when she got tired. We've been working on it with PT and she doesn't fall much at all now, just the odd time.

I also think some kids are also more clumsy than others and like you said, her head is ahead of her body. So if vision and gait are fine, she just might need to catch up her body to her head.

Even after you have all the tests run she may still run into things.

Mine used to, still does, walk into parked cars in parking lots. If she walks too close to the edge of a bridge she would fall off, (she did this in CA). No pole is safe around my daughter, she has walked headfirst into telephone poles, closed doors, walls, people.

You could get her seen to have her vision and balance checked, but lots of kids do this and are totally normal. I've also noticed that certain shoes will make my daughter trip up more than usual so it might be helpful to pay attention to what she has on her feet.
