Internal Medicine Doctor Recommendations

We have been in Dallas six months now and realize we need to get a regular doctor. We prefer internal medicine doctors. Does anyone have any recommendations in the Park Cities/North Dallas area. We'd prefer a doctor around the Presby Dallas area off Walnut Hill and 75.

Let me know what you like about this doctor. We like a doctor who really listens and cares and a doctor that is not hard to get in to see if you're sick all of a sudden. At this point, we just need to find one to do our physicals to check our overal health.

Thank you for your recommendations.

Thank you everyone who responded. This is a great starting point. Now I have to see if their under my insurance and then if they're taking new patients.

Dr. Robert Harris. He offices in one of the buildings attached to Presby Dallas. He is a wonderful physician. I highly recommend him.

My parents have gone to Dr. Sanders (Internal Medicine) for many years and like him very much. They have also been very pleased with his staff and find them to be helpful. My parents are in their 70's, so they have more health issues than younger people and go to the doctor several times a year. They often spend more time with one of his PA's (physician's assistant) than they do with Dr. Sanders, but this has worked well for them. I think their favorite PA, Tracey, recently moved, but I believe they have a new one they like. They have never had difficulty getting in to see the doctor when they are sick. Dr. Sander's office is at Greenville and Walnut Hill across the street from Presbyterian Hospital.

Try Dr. Marilyn Horton Anthony. Grew up in a small East Texas town... down to earth. Became a doctor about ten years ago. I do not know her personnally but do know of her through a family friend. Good person.

Dr Phillip Aronoff at Presby Dallas is great!! He is my grandmother's doctor and now mine. This past summer I had a bizarre string of events (healthwise) after my appendix ruptured. I had spent 10 days in the hospital and after getting out I really was not interested in being back....so when I found it hard to make it to the bathroom without being completely out of breath....I kind of ignored it for a few days...My mom finally convinced me to go to Carenow. After a chest xray, they promptly called 911 to take me to the hospital. Well, my mom, freaking out of course, called her mom, cause that is what you do when something is wrong with your baby. My grandmother got on the horn with Dr Aronoff's answering service....He was there at the hospital emergency room with me within an hour. I had never been seen by him before. He stayed at the hospital emergency room facilities until about midnight that night until several test results came back. I am not totally sure, but that is probably a late night for an internist especially for a patient that he had no previous relationship with. I think he ROCKS! He is very sweet...he gives you a great big hug everytime he sees you.
Presby Dallas is awesome. Great (very happy) nursing staff.
Another fabulous thing about his office is he is just below the lab. No need to run all over for lab work.

I have been going to the office of Cox, Chanez, and Williams for 12 years now. Some of the doctors have changed, but they are always great and get you in that day if you are sick. They are at Presby Dallas.

I've use Michelle Ho MD since I moved here in 2000. She is located at the NW corner of 75 & Park Lane in the new Baylor Building. I've been very pleased with her and the practice & have referred several friends who now use her regularly.

I would also have to recommend Dr. Philip Aronoff. He has been my family's internist for over 20 years. He is a very caring person, really listens to your concers, explains things in away that you understand. He does not do a lot of unnecessary testing, if something is out of his expertise, he will tell you and recommend you to someone. If he has to recommend someone, he works with you to find someone you will feel comfortable going to.

This may be further north than you want but since I've discovered Dallas Medical Specialists, I've never been happier. My doctor is Tri Nguyen and he is incredible. When I'm sick, they usually get me in that day or early the next morniing. My daughter (she's 23 years old) sees Dr. Hawkins (she prefers a female physician) and has had the same experience. We love that making appointments is never a hassle, you never have a long wait and that the doctors actually seem interested in YOU, you're not rushed through like it's a cattle call. The office is located at 7777 Forest Lane, Dallas, telephone number ###-###-####.
