I am looking for activities that I can do with my 8 1/2 month old daughter. I remembered the Little Gym at Kirby and Poplar and thought I would give it a try. Has anyone else tried it?

My daughter loved The Little Gym. Its great for toddlers and preschoolers- although I remember it is pricey.

We really enjoyed Kindermusik when our little girl was about the same age. They have a website that explains the program. Just type in Kindermusk in the search engine and you'll find it. The instructor we had was Lea Talley in Collierville.

I took my daughter there two years ago for the summer session. She loved it. We have been unable to attend another session, due to schedule conflict. We did attend a birthday party there and it was great.

I've been taking my daughter - now 20 months - to that Little Gym since she was 5 months. WE LOVE IT! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and I've watched my daughter gain confidence in her physical abilities through the classes. They utilize a parachute, inflatable pieces, and musical instruments as well as singing and specific themes each week. I highly recommend it! I believe they'll let you join in a trial class for free to see if it's what you're looking for. Please give it a try!

I took my daughter there when she was around 20 months old. We didn't complete the program I had her enrolled in for 2 reasons. 1) She didn't like it and 2) the class size was much too large for it to be more than a giant play session (about 25-30 children). That may have been because we chose Sat. mornings and that was a make up day.

I started my daughter there when she was 14 months old...she is 27 months old now. I/we loved it!!! I decided to take a break this semester, but I think you will enjoy it. I would recommend Tiffany as the coach, she is actually the owner of the gym as well. But I know she teaches the real little babies...and when your daughter is older Joey is awesome!! Anyway, good luck! another idea would be Kindermusik...I haven't done it but I know lots of people who do!
