It's a wonderful site. My husband gets on there every so often if he has a question and wants advice from other dads.

I have emailed this site to friends and co-workers around the country and there are fathers who are part of the site in other cities and states. Tell him to sign up and get his own ID for this site if he wants. What mom out there wouldn't want to help a father get more involved, he would probably get more responses than we do! LOL!

Also, one of my gal pals is on the advisory board for this website and she said they are always asking how they can improve the site, grow membership etc., she said to submit your suggestion by clicking on the opening page where it has the link at the bottom that says 'how can we improve mamasource?' Tell them all about! They'll probably build a daddy site, they are really nice ladies from what I hear!

That is so nice that he is interested! My husband probably would be also. Maybe you can submit a request to Mamasource to look into starting a Dadasource! I don't see why not!

Hi W.! Nice to meet you! I am not married and have only one child, a daughter, but I do see your dilemma! Personally I would Google something and see what turns up. Otherwise just treat him like one of the boys. If he's "ascared" to go in the water, help him into the water, like any good mom would do! Personally, if you want my opinion, I think you have a great husband! If he is shy to ask about the kids I think it is a sign of respect towards you! He trusts you and knows you know what you are doing, he wants to be involved but he doesn't want to steal your thunder. Just keep inviting him to join the "playgroup" and eventually he'll go from crawling to walking all by himself.

Have you tried babycenter.com? It may not be exactly what you are looking for, but it might give your husband a place to look.

I have never looked for one specifically for dads but when I googled it there were many (I put in something along the lines of "websites for dads") but if you go to www.faithandfamily.com there are topics and links there that he and you may be interested in. For example, I go under Topic and then Parenting and there are many articles and resources there.

Hello W. I noticed that you said you work at a daycare and take your kids with you to work. Are you in Kansas or Missouri? Just wondering. I would love to make some extra money. I was going to work at the 24 hour gym child care area but they won't allow me to bring my child/children.

I read the about you that you work at a day care? Where at and how much? I'm looking for a part time day care since I can't study or do my school work w/my son here at home during the weeks and I can't cram everything during the weekends since they're so busy.....Thanks, C.

You might call your local Parents As Teachers and enroll with them. They come out about every six weeks and talk about development and give ideas on activities to do that are appropriate for your child's age. He could involved and ask questions to your PAT teacher. They also have playgroups and moms and dads can attend those.

I would not be offended if he wanted to post questions here.
