Over the last week I have felt my pulse in my vaginal area. This typically is a sign of infection anywhere on your body. I don't have any unusual discharge or itching, (which I have had when I have a yeast infection) but I did have some discomfort during sex last night. Are there other infections that occur in that area? I've google'd it and didn't come up with much....

What can I do next?

Yup. Tons. (But don't forget contact dermatitis, aka an allergy)

- All the STDs
- Asymtomatic yeast infection (not all yeast infections present with discharge or itching)
- PID
- folliculitis (this can start deep in the follicle, but will eventually present with either a large lump, or a smaller red "pimple")
- UTI
- E. Coli or similar fecal transfer infection

Plus any and all infections that could have come through broken skin (strep, staph, and some fungal infections being the most common). I've left off vaginosis, since *as far as I know* vaginosis always presents with fishy smelling discharge

But the whole pulse thing, is usually caused because of localized inflammation. Which can also be caused by a bump, bruise, sprain, friction, or pregnancy. I *always* feel my pulse (adhd... I can feel all the blood circulating in my body, except for certain areas with nerve damage)... so the pulse thing is just from school... not from personal experience.

You Might be getting a varicose vein in that area...I got them after having children, and at times they throbbed.

Sounds like the symptom I would get a few days before a yeast infection would break out. I had a vaginal one once that didn't really bother me except during sex.
