My daughter is 7 months old and I would really like to get her into a swimming class. Does anyone know of on in the Rolling Meadows area?
Call the park distric in your area and surrounding areas. Elk Grove has so many pools and have most everything to offer children.
My daughter is 17 months old, we live in rolling meadows and I just looking into swimming classes at the wellness center. My step-daughter took her lessons there when she was younger. I believe the sessons are 5 weeks long for $55 and are on Saturdays. The class is a parent/child class until age 4. They have a class for children starting at age 3. I believe that was the starting age. I spoke with the lady in charge and she was very nice & helpful. I am definately going to take her there for next session. The next session begins April 25 is the first class I think. I would give them a call.
Chicago Swim School, in downtown Arlington Heights, has an excellent reputation. Their classes are very small and taught by adult teachers.
The Pavilion in Elk Grove Village (off Biesterfield) has great swim lessons. I realize that's not in Rolling Meadows, but it isn't too far hopefully and I really liked taking my son there. He had just turned 1, and there was an 8 month old in the class as well. They both loved it, and smiled and laughed during every class.
Look at park districts on your area... We did one at Hoffman Estates and it was good.
Otherwise... gyms(Lifetime Fitness) by us Bloomingdale also has kids classes for non-members, though it's pricier
