I want to get my daugther's ears pierced but don't know where. She'll be 5 months next week and I want to get them done sooner than later. Does anyone recommend a good place in the Allen/Plano area? I would really appreciate it.

I wanted to thank everyone for their wonderful advice. I ended up going to Sweet & Sassy today which is located in Allen. I'm not going to lie...I was nervous but the whole experience was not as bad as I was anticipating. My little girl didn't cry much. I had her bottle ready and as soon as they were done, she cried for probably a minute or two and later was content with her milk. I haven't had any problems after that and just as long as I keep her ears clean..we should be fine. The place was nice and I would recommend this it to anyone. Thanks again!
I was just in to see my pediatrician the other day and noticed they do ear piercing there. I take my kids to see Dr. Berkowitz and the number is ###-###-####. He is there at the Pediatric Specialist of Plano on Midway and Parker across from the hospital. I've been taking both my girls there from the time they have been born and totally trust them. Its in Plano.
My daughter is 14 now. I personally feel like it it her choice if she wants piercings or not...Her body..not mine.
Our daughter decided at 10 to get her ears pierced, then got un-interested pretty fast. Of course, they grew up and she did it again at her choosing (around 13) and then ended up with no earrings because in cheer you can have no jewelry...even posts.
I am glad I did not force it when she had no choice.
IF you do choose to do it, check with your pedi (some do it) and then check with a reputable place such as LaLobe, etc.
Please....no hate mail, I get enough.... I just feel like it is her body...her choice.

I too did my daughters ears at Claire's when she was still an infant. I felt like it would be easier when she was a baby so that I could take care of them rather than when she was older and would not take care of them correctly. She is not 3.5 years old and rarely even notices that they are there. They have never been infected, bothered her, been pulled out or anything.. like I said she hardly even notices them, pretty much only when someone says something about her earrings =)

Sweet & Sassy at the new shopping center in Allen off Bethany & 75. You can call to make an appointment, or just walk in. I just did my 3 year old's there, they were very good! I suggest making an appointment, to avoid b-day parties, etc. that they also do to ensure they are ready and have the man power.
I had my baby's ears pierced in one of the malls, so far I was satisfied. Try Valley view mall or Galleria, maybe there's some on Stone Briar mall too.
I called the Claire's near my home in McKinney and asked the manager when she would be available...that is who did my girls'. I did one of them at 7 months and the other at 6 months....perfect timing for it!
Well, I took my 4 month old daughter to Claires in the mall after my neighbor, a medical Dr did the same for her 3 month old daughter. My daughter is 8 now and has not had a problem. I was going to take her to LaLobe (Preston/NWHwy) because they are known for ear piercing until my neighbor did the Claire thing and followed her path. I did take her in right when they opened so we had the store to ourselves and no distractions. I know some Dr's do it but that resource can be hard to find.
