Hi,
Curious on your thoughts about safety, usability, cost effective infant car seat. I have found the graco snugride, safeseat or the baby trend flex loc? What do you all think has been the best for you?

What can I do next?

I use the Graco Safeseat and boy, am I glad I got that! My baby is a large baby and very long and since the seat can accommodate up to 30 lbs, it's been a great investment. I am looking for a convertible seat now but I have a cushion of time while my other mommy friends are scrambling to switch over because most infant seats go only up to about 22 lbs.

I think Britax and Graco are rated highest for safety. I used the Graco sung ride for an infant carrier (seat) and I now have the Britax Boulevard which I absolutely love. I have tried numerous car seats and the Britax seem the best quality. They are the most expensive, but that was one purchase that I didn't mind spending the extra money.

Hi, best bet is to call the california highway patrol...try ###-###-####...ask to speak with the pao..he will tell you which carseats are the best and can even help install it. If your in another area call your local CHP.

We use a Graco Snugride and haven't had any issues with it. I didn't want to buy 2 strollers, so we got the adapter bar for the Bob and the Snugride fit right in until our daughter was ready to sit in the stroller herself. Congratulations!

I have the Chicco Keyfit 30, suitable for infants up to 30 lbs in weight. I absolutely love it, and so does my baby, she seems very comfortable. It is very safe and is extremely easy to remove from the base. In general, a great purchase.

we used the Graco Snugride seat that came with our travel system. Several of our friends with kids also used this model of seat. We have all been pleased with it. We had to switch to a convertable seat because my son was freakishly tall and outgrew the infant seat, but that would have happened no matter what seat we chose.

If you don't need to carseat to double as a carier, go ahead and start with a convertable seat and save the step, but if you need it to come in and out of the car, we were really happy with the SnugRide.

I used the Graco Snugride and know that it is rated highly on consumerreports.org. It worked well for me and I loved the adjustable shade that kept the sun out of my babies face. They also rate Chicco Key Fit, Baby Trend Flex-Loc Adjustable Back, Britax companion, and Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP, highly as well. They rate them on saftey, ease of use and fit to the car. Maybe compare these carseats with the reviews on Amazon.com and choose the best one.
