Inexpensive/compact Car Seat

I am looking to purchase a second set of car seats for my husbands car. We have Sunshine Kids Radian 65 car seats in my car, and I LOVE THEM!!! But, I am not able to spend $$$ on another set.

I would like a safe, inexpensive, compact car seat for my husbands SMALL suv. My kids will only be in my husbands car occationally, just around town--so these car seats don't need a lot of bells and whistles.

Any suggestions

Hello Melinda. I'm not sure how old your children are, and I'm also not sure what you consider a compact car seat, but I do have an extra infant car seat in my garage if you would like to have it. I have it posted on Craigslist.com right now, but I'd give it to you if you are interested. Let me know :)

For a FFing seat only, consider the Graco Comfort Sport $80 (I've seen it occasionally go on sale for $60). It is super lightweight and recommended by my car seat professional. No bells/whistles and easy to install correctly.

Try to choose one with a large weight range and add a Kiddie Kangaroo soft pocket travel system for your youngster to keep their "stuff" in and retrieve as desired i.e....sippy cups, snack packs, toys, books, dolls and more. Makes traveling with Dad or Mom a breeze as your toddler, baby or youngster will be able to keep their needs close at hand and you won't need to try to retrieve from the seat of floor when dropped. Kiddie Kangaroo Keeps your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel for increased safety for all!!! www.kiddiekangaroo.com

Hi, we have a Sunshine kids Radian in my car and a Compass in my husband's car. Nice comfortable seat, It's a lot less than $ than the Radian and we are happy with it for infrequent use. You can call the company to check which model would be right for your children. Compass (Learning Curve) can be reached at 1 888-899-2229.
