In Search of Preschool or MDO in Plano

I am currently working, but am being laid off. My last day at work is May 29 and my 3yo is in daycare full-time and enjoys the school part of it. I too want her to continue to learn her letters and such. Once I am laid off I plan to be a stay at home mom and would really like her to go to "school" at least 2 times/week. Can you recommend a pre-school or MDO that teaches and is in Plano?

What can I do next?

My son attends Messiahs Lambs MDO program... we like it very much...

It's off of Plano Parkway and Custer... It's at the Messiah Lutheran Church...

also do a search on the texas daycare violations page... it lists everything by zipcode and you can check violations.

I second the advice about Primrose School of Forest Creek! Great school with great teachers and a great curriculum! Also very flexible with the 2 and 3 day programs! Good Luck with your search!

I would suggest Messiah Lambs mdo/preschool. My son went there from 9 months - Pre K. Very caring teachers. Excellent school. Christ is at the center. He was kindergarten ready and easily "passed" his readiness interview for private school.

Try Apple Creek Preschool In Allen. It is on the border of Allen and Plano. They are an accredited preschool. They are very good.

I highly recommend Teddy Bear Junction in Plano off of Independence. The school has been up and running for more than 25 years. When it was one of the few preschools in Plano, moms used to camp out just to get their children in! I drive from Northeast Allen just take both my boys!

Kathy Pounds is the director and has been with the school since it opened it's doors. She is amazing and truly knows each family on a first name basis. The majority of teachers have been there for over 10 years. The environment is very caring and nurturing. I highly recommend that you go visit...you will not be disappointed!

Check out 1st United Methodist Weekday Program on Spring Creek. I have enrolled my daughter there for the Fall 09 and did so because a good friend of mine has trusted that program with all 3 of her daughters over the last 6-8 years. When I went and toured the place, I felt really great about where my daughter would be spending her time 2 days a week. :-)

We moved our daughter from another preschool in West Allen (I will leave nameless) over to Primrose of West Allen. It really takes a great director to lead his team! This is with any organization, but when it comes to the well-being of your child, you expect nothing less!
From the moment we walk in the door, to the time we leave, Primrose staff and teachers are professional, caring, friendly and patient with all the children. Our daughter has learned so much, enjoys the activities, and looks forward to going to school.

If you want your daughter to continue learning, Primrose School's has the best pre-school program. The Primrose and Coit and Hedgcoxe have a 2 day program and they offer a wonderful preschool evperience. Check them out www.myprimroseschool.com/forestcreek
