There is a new Christian worship group called Revolution 12. It was started by Joey Foster who went to school to be a minister and has done many years of youth ministry. The group does not exclude anyone and welcomes everyone. They do not follow one particular religion, but do believe that Jesus walked the earth and we should worship God. Joey's mom babysits my 1 year old son. They are such a loving, faithful and inspirational family. Joey is still working out the details of Revolution 12, but I highly recommend checking it out. They meet at the Brewhouse in La Plata on Sundays. They start with a media type presentation around 9:30 - 10:00. That lasts about 30-45 minutes and includes music and inspirational thoughts. He then delivers a message about an excerpt from the bible. It is very relaxed atmosphere with coffee and snacks. They welcome children and you can sit in the back so the kids can play on the floor. I hope this helps.

I am a member of Alexander Memorial Baptist Church. This is a good christian church were the word of God comes forth every Sunday with power and force. The address is 2709 N Street, NW, Washington, DC 20007. The church is located in Georgetown but it only takes about 30 minutes to get there from where you are. I live in Clinton and it's really not that far once you have travelled it. We have Wednesday night Bible Study at 7:00 p.m., Sunday School at 9:30 on Sundays and Worship Service starts at 10:45. We would love to have you come and fellowship with us one Sunday or Wednesday night.

Churches marked with (*) have television broadcasts, if you'd like to visit virtually before you attend. The churches listed below comprise very large congregations. Not sure if you are looking for something smaller and more intimate. Have not visited any for services except From the Heart, but have attended workshops at various locations presented by its members and they were welcoming and loving.
