Our baby is due in 9 weeks - I need to find a Pediatrician, and I'm new to this process! Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I highly recommend Dr. Anne Egan at The Carithers Pediatric Group on Park St. The docs on staff are affiliated with all the area hospitals, so one of them should be on call when you give birth. Dr. Egan just happened to be on call the morning I gave birth to my son, so we have been seeing her ever since. I also love that they are open Sat. mornings for emergencies! www.carithersgroup.com
MY baby is 6 1/2 months and I use the Carther's Pederatics on Park street. They have always been friends have saturday and sunday hours for emergencies. THey return calls quick and super helpful. I have not picked a doctor yet out of the group I am seeing all of them before I make a decision on her primary but all that I have seen have been great.

I've been taking my daughter to Jacksonville Pediatrics on Park since she was born. They are wonderful,and now at age three, she'll pretend to be Dr. Thornton or Dr. Stanley to her stuffed animals and dolls.

I have heard GREAT things about Dr. Thornton at Jacksonville Pediatrics (located at 2606 Park Street - www.jaxpeds.com). I was given many referrals for all of the Doctors in the practice, but it was too far from my house to go there. Good Luck!
I LOVE Dr. Hillary Rockwell, he is located on the corner of stockton and park street. he is extremely warm and personal. He guides you in your parenting and vaccination decisions and respects your opinion.
I use Dr. Hillary Rockwell. He is in Riverside on the corner of Stockton and Post(?)maybe is Park. Anyway, easy to find. No partners. Just him. My son sees him at every visit. He is easy to talk to. Goes to the Hospital to see you and baby when baby is born. I don't know if you follow the MMR shot issues, but he was willing to split up the shot into 3 for us even though he didn't personally believe MMR and Autism have a link. I really like him. The only time I needed to take my son and didn't have an appointment, I got in in 30 minutes to see him. Always tells us that if they are open and we need him to call and come in.
