To get together for dinners, outings, with and without kids, to talk, have fun...get us out of our houses and make new friends that are going through similar things...I'm in the Northern VA area, anyone know of anything/ interested in putting something together?

There is a group already out there for you all and it's totally free and AMAZING. Joy Troupe is our name and it's an wonderful group. Our founding mom lives in Springfield but the group has really branched out. There are 1200 moms in the big group but then there are small groups that are specific to areas, ages and interests. I'm part of the Manassas Mommas and Munchkins which has about 40 members (I'm part of many small groups). We are just getting our events really started; next week we have 2 play dates at Manassas local libraries. There are events in mornings, evenings and on saturdays. There are even subgroups for Working Moms and SAH Dads!

That sounds fantastic! I was just thinking that most moms' groups are for SAHM's - and that's not me! I live just outside of Gainesville, so we're not too far apart. I also just celebrated the 5th anniversary of 25 in December.
Let's see who else responds over the next day or so and go from there!
