I'm Addicted to Cloth Diapers...What Brand Do You Use?

I'm wanting to buy some new diapers. I have a bunch of Fuzzibunz, and Coolababy for pockets. I have some Thirsties AIO Pocket (I posted a question about them yesterday), and pre-folds with some Thirsties and Bummis covers. I really like the AIO with the option of the pocket, but they were discontinued and I havent been able to find anything like them except for BG 3.0. I have also thought about getting some Rumparooz, but they seem pretty much the same as Fuzzibunz. My LO is 19 months, and she is not keeping the velcro on easily anymore. Her FB and Coolababy are snaps, but that's it.

What brand and style of CD's do you use, why do you love it? What have you used that you didn't like and was a waste of money?

What can I do next?

I actually couldn't afford the (bum genius) that I wanted to buy, so I made my own. If you sew I would suggest it- it was fun, and I could make them any way I wanted. I was a zookeeper so I made them with animal print fleece. I used PUL that I bought online, and I eventually bought a snap press, so that I could make one or two for friends. I had bought prefolds (more than I needed) and I also used microterry towels, that worked GREAT and I still use them around the house to pick up spills and for drying dishes. The pattern I found on the web as well.

My faves are the bumGenius 4.0's with snaps. I love the 4.0's because the fit is excellent and they are virtually leak-proof. I also prefer snaps because my daughter can remove her velcro diapers (and she does!). bumGenius also makes an AIO with snaps, but I haven't tried it. I have one Rumparooz and I like it, but it has a really short rise so my 28 lb 21-month-old is just about to grow out of it. Lately I've been experimenting with fitteds and a wool cover for naptime & nighttime. I l.o.v.e my Wool Lover cover from Kissaluvs. Next I want to get some wool longies. And my favorite nighttime fitted is the organic bamboo fitted from sustainablebabyish. I lay a bumGenius newborn microfiber insert stuffed inside a bumGenius insert sock inside the fitted. The microfiber seems to absorb more quickly than the bamboo, which prevents leaks. And the insert sock acts as a stay-dry barrier next to baby's skin. For naptime I bought some clearanced Thirsties fab fitteds. They are so soft, but I try to stay away from synthetic fabrics for nighttime because they seem to hold the ammonia smell more than natural fabrics like cotton, hemp or bamboo. The only microfiber I will use at night is a thin 2-layer insert which doesn't seem to trap the ammonia like the thicker inserts do. Anyway, I am loving the wool!! You should try it!

I vote BG 4.0's, they have snaps are are much improved from the 3.0's. Although our favorites are prefolds with Thirsties Snap covers.

I think I commented on your question! I use bumgenuis and GroVia. (Not the AIOS) We LOVE GroVia!! They are really easy to use, trim, cute, and economical.

I have the blueberry covers and use the prefolds with the inserts from the pocket diapers ( she is a heavy tinkler). they are not too thick but are hearty. I also have been using the cloth training underwear with the insert in it with the cover. That is a bit slimmer but it she poops it can be a bit messy.
