I am looking for good quality furniture for my son's new "big boy" room. We have been very pleased with his nursery furniture manufactured my Morigeau Lepine and was planning on purchasing the same furniture only to find out they have gone out of business. We would just convert his crib to a full sized bed, but we are expecting a new baby early next year. I was hoping you all could give me some suggestions. Thanks for your help!

Stanley, which is more affordable than Morigeau, just as good quality. Romina, which is even better quality, but it is just the same expense, if not more, than Morigeau. Also, you should check out Room and Board, they have some lines that are very similar in style to Morigeau.

There is a great store in Lombard called The Crib and Bed Outlet. Great furniture and affordable. It is totally worth the trip out there!

We purchased bedroom furniture for our 3 boys (ages 10, 8, 5) from P.M. Bedroom Gallery in Naperville and are more than satisfied with the quality. We specifically purchased from them because of the quality and durability of the furniture and are confident that it will last until the boys are through high school. All of the furniture is made in the USA, which we also appreciate.

All of the staff members that we worked with while we were researching and selecting our pieces were very helpful and extremely nice. Mary was especially pleasant to work with.

Good luck!

There is a newer store in the Fox Valley area called Cribs to College Bedrooms. They have a HUGE showroom with tons of different quality and price ranged furniture. They are right in front of where the old Pop & Popcorn theater used to be on the north-east corner of Route 59 and North Aurora Road. Our daughter has a tiny room and we bought her a loft bed with a desk/hutch, dresser/hutch and two bookshelves that all fit directly beneath it. Great, sturdy quality set that will last her many years. GOod luck.

Check out some resale shops or estate sales.
If you are lucky you'll find a whole set at a fraction of the price. : )

We got our crib set, believe it or not, through Walmart online. Ship to store is free too, so we didnt have to pay for shipping and just picked it up at a location near us. It's great quality, we've had absolutely NO problems with it for years. It also was one of the only Contemporary designs we could find in our budget. Cribs that look like ours sold for 5x the price, which we could never afford.
It's worth a look.
