Ideas for Wedding Flower

I saw a really cool shadow box that had two matted frames with it at a friend's house. She put her vows in one of the mattes and a photo in the other with the flowers in the shadow box.

I had mine put in a shadow box, along with my momentos...my something new, something old, something blue, etc. and with my tiara for my veil.

I had a HUGE rose made from several roses with the petals glue around one single rose to form this big rose. Then some roses were hanging down off that. I dried it at first but then it was just SO big. So I took some of the evergreen and put it in a glass jar and then on top of that I took about half or maybe 3/4 of the rose petals and put them in. Sort of like popuri (sp?) but I sealed the top. So now it's a glass jar on a shelf instead of in a box never to be seen. Besides I have a lot of pictures of it and with it dry...I was never going to use it again.

Oh my gosh! I went throught this same thing. My mom dried my wedding boquet for me (for a few hundred dollars) and gave it to me for christmas after the wedding. I moved with this big box like three times, and each time my husband said we should just throw it away. I really didn't know what to do with it, and I didn't want to hurt my mom's feelings. I looked into buying some sort of glass case for it to go in, but it was going to cost over 500 dollars, so that idea was thrown out. What I did was, I bought three frames from Robert's art and Crafts. The deeper kind you can put memorabilia in and I carefully picked apart my boquet and arranged the flowers in the frames so they looked good. It turned out great! I was a little nervous that I would just end up ruining them, but they withstood what I did. I am still not sure if my mom was upset I took the actual arrangement apart, but at least I can hang them on my wall and they don't take up storage space anymore! It is so nice to have them up and out of the way too. They are hanging in my master bedroom and some people have commented on them to say that they look like they are painted. So anyway, That is what I did. I recomend this, if you don't have very many other options! Good luck, and let me know if you need any more advice on the subject.

I just pitched mine a couple of weeks ago.. My mom made my bouquet and the bridemaids into a beautiful wreath (they were all roses) I hung it for a few years, then I stored it, now it was just falling apart...so it's gone. We have pictures and memories. :) Good luck deciding....

If the flowers are dried well you can do this: Buy a small shadow box, cut off the heads of the big flowers, cut off smaller flowers in bunches. Then hot glue gun them to the back of the shadow bow in an arrangement. if you still have some of the ribbon add a small bow inside as well. it is a nice space-saving option for keeping your flowers and memories. If you've got pictures from your wedding, is that enough??. All the shows about keeping things from the past make a good point as well. You have special memories about that day and all the people involved, do you have room for them to be out?? If not and the memories will be special enough, will that do??

I have seen shadowbox kits at Michaels and Hobby Lobby where you put the bouquet along with other items from your wedding day. It's a great keepsake. Just an idea.

I think that if it is really special to you than keep it. Perhaps there is a way that you can display it so it's honored and it will add to your decor. Otherwise if your are tired of storing and moving it, let it go. I'm sure that it is shown in your wedding pictures and you will always have the memory of it.

I agree with pp about shadow boxes, they are great for things like that!
You can put your boquet in it along with some other momentos of your wedding day.
I didn't keep my boquet. I made sure we had some pictures of it, but that's it

KEEP IT!
There are several things you can do with it....you can put it on a shelf where it can't be damaged. Or, you can make a shadow box with it. You can buy a shadow box at Michael's or any other craft store & put your bouquet in it with your garter if you still have it & a favorite photo from your wedding. Even some smaller photos of family & such can go in with it. They look very nice when arranged & the best part is, your bouquet can be on display & BE PROTECTED from the dust. You can keep it in there forever & pass it on to your children when you get older for them to remember how you & your husband looked on your special day.

Hey there: You could frame it and hang it....that is what someone did for me...

I kept mine a couple years- they were silk- then they shriveled in storage- not sure if they got too hot or what- I say pitch them- they have already served their purpose.

L. you might go on a wedding planing site or bridal site they are going to have tons of ideas for what to do with your bouquet. I remember seeing some really beautiful displays... In the end mine ended up being thrown out. Good luck

I saved my bouquet and I have it on display in a small glass hutch where I have a few other things that are important to me. That way it is where I can see it, but it is safe and it won't be destroyed by anyone. I also have some other flowers that I had saved from the wedding from the centerpieces, etc. I have some of those in a glass jar in my bedroom, and some in a glass bowl like potpouri with some smelly stuff that I spray on them. That way it makes the house smell good as well as being a beautiful and memorable decoration. So, you could take your bouquet apart and use the petals in several different places!

Eventually, your flowers will fall apart. But I'd keep it for as long as you can. I'm separated now but I still have mine but they are fake.

I would deffinately keep it! there is a really cool thing you can do with it there are places that do this thing its kind of like a plaque and you can put pictures from your wedding on it and whatever you want and then they take your bouquet and freeze dry it (which yours is already done) and put like this globe around it and attach it to the plaque thing it looks really really cool

why not do a shadow box picture frame of some of the items from your weding day. maybe some flowers from the bouquet and maybe some pictures. and if you have any thing else from your wedding day to put in the frame. that way you'll some of the flowers and not have to throw the whole thing away!!

I eloped, so never had a bouquet, but for friends of mine who's weddings I was in, we made a shadow box for them to come home to from the honeymoon.

We took the photo of their rings on their hands, their vows that they wrote, the bouquet and the cake topper. We used some scrap-booking items to dress it up and then framed it in the shadow box. We also tried to match the stain of the wood to their furniture so it would match the decor in the house.

If your bouquet is still in good condition, I'd keep it. If it's looking a bit war-torn, maybe see if a local shop can mimic what you had on your wedding day and get it professionally dried? Someday I'll have my "real" wedding, and I know I'll want to keep my bouquet, too. :) Good luck, and if you find something cute that you like, let us know! I might just have to steal your idea. :)

I bought one of those giant goblet vases from Michaels. The stem is long enough to touch the bottom of the goblet with the flowers resting on top of the vase. I keep my bouquet on a shelf in my room next to my wedding picture. Throwing it away hopefully isn't an option if it's been preserved well. And, a storage box is no place for such a beautiful memento that brings such happy memories! Display it and enjoy it.

I am sure it is beautiful, you could press it and put it in a shadow box and hang it on the wall for display.
