So it could be possible for my SIL and I to end up prego at the same time again. I/we are debating on announcing it together to our MIL on her birthday, if things work out that way. This will probably be my last pregnancy that I will ever get to announce, but if we chose to share together...can any of you mamas come up with a creative way to announce our pregnancies together?

Thanks!!

What can I do next?

When my (now ex ) sil was preggers with her first (and I was preggers with my second...and had not 'announced yet)...she was ALL ready to borrow my maternity clothes...crib...you name it!

anyway...I was looking for a humorous way to let the family know I was preggers too...(and let sil know she'd NOT be looking in my closet)...so at a family gathering, when serving 'ice cream sundays' for desert, I passed out both hers...and mine...with a dill pickle on top!

Good luck!

We announced one of ours by having everyone get together for a group picture. My husband was the "photographer". Instead of saying, "Everyone say cheese" he said, "Everyone say, Lisa is pregnant". The picture was priceless!

Give her a double sided picture frame and put a picture from each ultrasound in it. You could put their due dates or something at the bottom of each picture.

My SIL and I were pregnant at the same time, and this was one of my thought...

We were buying a pack n' play for my MIL's house to give to her on Mother's Day (also the day my husband and I were annoucing our pregnancy, and it had crossed my mind to by one of the pack n' plays for twins (with a little divider in the middle, creating two bassinets) and I thought it would be cute to hang signs off each little bassinet that said "Baby M_____ Arriving Oct. 2008" and "Baby S_______ arriving Nov. 2008"

When my stepsister was pregnant she made the Birthday cake for my dad's birthday- she did pink and blue cupcakes that said "It's a boy! It's a Girl! or maybe BOTH!" There was a chance she was pregnant with twins (turned out to be so, a girl and a boy) you two could easily do something simillar.

Both of you get a bouquet of carnations- half pink half blue and put a card in it to MIL with Love your names and the date you are each due? See if she gets it before asking what it means.....You could use baby looking ribbon as well....make it look baby but yet good for her.
My sil (her 2nd) and I (my 3rd) were preg together (her's ended in miscarriage, sadly) but I was forced to announce when my mother called me about hers! We were due a week apart. The conversaton was pretty funny and took her about 10 min to figure out who else was preg, too. I could hear her scream with joy from west coast to east coast! Pretty funny

You could give MIL a birthday card from the two grandchildren and include Baby "Last Name" and Baby "Last Name" in addition to the other grandchildren. One from just the babies that say "See you next year".

Give your grandmother two bibs that say I Love Grandma. Each of you hand her the bag at the same time or indicate it is from both you and your SIL.

Put U/S photos in CD cases and wrap them up and give them to her to open on her birthday :) We did that one year for a grab bag to announce our first....it was a hoot watching everyone guess which woman in the room was pregnant.....AFTER they figured out what it was. Of course that only works if you are far enough along and had a first U/S :) Best wishes on whatever you decide! How exciting!

I was about 12 weeks prego one christmas so I used an ultra sound picture and made up a cute litte flyer saying something like coming July 8th 2011 baby (our last name) #3. Then I put them in a box and wrapped it and gave it to family members to open on Christmas. It was sooooo much fun. I wasn't with my dad but he called me crying, he was so excited. My father's mother was so surprised too. It would be fun if one of you guys did that and then in another type of box have the other give her one a little later. She wouldn't know what to think. Have fun.
