Chuck E Cheese and any of the inflatables (PumpItUp, Monkey Bizness, etc. work great for that age. If older kids are there, it will accomodate entertaining them also. Also a theme party at home with an inflatable in the yard would be great also!

This isn't for a location, but I found the site birthdaypartyideas.com very helpful. You just type in the theme of the party you're wanting and it gives you lots of ideas other people have used.

We did my daughter's 2nd birthday at the Houston Zoo. They took care of everything including decorations and cake. The kids got to play games, play in the petting zoo, run around on the playground, etc. All we had to do was show up.

McDonalds is always a good spot for kids' parties. Depending on which one you go to you can get a package for 10 kids for like $50. That includes Happy meals, a cake, ice cream, invitations, and in some locations gift bags, and a gift for the child.

I am planning my son's 3rd party at our neighborhood park. They have a really nice covered pavillion and it's free as long as you live with in the same zip code. I am doing a circus theme, with a clown, popcorn machine, snow cone machine and moon walk. Check your local parks and recreation centers for something in your area. Last year I threw my daughter a Princess/Fairy party, with Tutus, wings and wands for everyone. I dressed a table in white linens and we had a sit down lunch. I rented a metal castle and lit it up with X-mas lights. And I had a freind dress like snow white and she read her story to them. It was so nice.

Hi,

Chuckie Cheese was always a fun place for my kids when they were that age. Even McDonalds could be fun! They don't have any memory of it now :( - just pictures. Good Luck!

Have an outdoor party w/ all sorts of water fun, painting or digging opportunities are always fun. The birthday website another person mentioned is great resource for creative parties...
