I had a doctor but then I lost my insurance and they where a 'private' doctor so I ended up losing them...and I just started to get my medical back (I have a appointment in like 4 days) And i havent been seen by a docter in like...almost a month and I am 33 weeks pregnant. Also I am wondering if water birth is better then dry birth. I really want to do it but I can find a midwife in my area. If no one knows one can someone help me find one so i can make sure the baby is okay.

What can I do next?

I am not in that area so there is no one I can recommend, but my midwife may be able to recommend someone. It is Birth Matters http://www.birthmattersinc.com/

I think the difference between water birth and traditional birth is preference, rather than one being better than another. My sister-in-law and a friend of mine both had one of their babies in the water, but it was more by "accident" because the babies came so fast. I wanted to try a water birth with my 2nd baby, but I was living in Northern CA and my midwife there did not recommend it. She was willing to do it if I wanted to, but she had delivered over 10,000 babies (seriously, no exageration) and she did not think it was a good way to deliver. I deferred to her expertise and did not try a water birth. As it was, the birth was perfect. My 10-1/2 pound baby came out in one push, no tearing, and I felt great!

Water is extremely helpful while laboring. Hot water helped me a lot with the labor pains, especially during transition. I have heard many hospitals are allowing access to tubs, or at least to a shower during labor, even if they do not allow a water birth. But I am not an expert, I had both of my babies at home. Since you have an appointment soon, I would just ask the doctor. They can tell you what is allowed where you are going to deliver.

Good luck!

you might be able to get in at the birth center in redlands. awesome place! i had my second daughter there in january and after birthing naturally, in water outside a hospital and i hope to never go back to a hospital!

Leonette Clayson, IMS The Birth Center ###-###-#### at the 10 and Alabama. Call ASAP because they usually don't take patients this late in pregnancy... but they do take them if there is available room! Tell them Angie and Samantha Lowell said hi!

NONE of the hospitals in the area besides Kaiser in Riverside are "baby friendly". This place is better than baby friendly! And I totally recommend hypnobirthing for relaxation techniques. Donna Linton (doulastodiapers.com) is a great instructor in Riverside, near the auto center.

Best of luck to you! Prepare to be amazed with your body.

I had Dr. Sadler at the Riverside Medical Clinic in the Moreno Valley office! She was great!! But, be aware that she is in a rotation of gynos so if you go into labor and it's not "her night", you might end up with whichever dr happens to be on call in their rotation. I got Dr. Yeo and he was pretty ok too... I wasn't happy that it was not my "regular" dr but in the end, the baby came out just as much as she would have with Dr. Sadler there, lol...

Anyhow, I have nothing but great recommendations for all the drs at Riverside Medical Clinic!! :D

Best of luck in your impending delivery!! :D
Huggles!!
