I'm interested in relocating to the greater Boulder area and need a good realtor who can help me find an affordable area (likely outside of Boulder but in closer proximity) with excellent schools and easy access to hiking, cycling, CO outdoor fun. Need someone familiar with schools and communities to help me find the right fit--and can help me set up an MSL watch so I can start my research before a job hunting trip next month.

What can I do next?

Hi L.. I have used Tom Cohen from Remax for the past 10 years. I have 4 small kids and he has worked with myself and my husband to help us find what works for us. He also lives just outside of Boulder (greater Boulder) and he has 2 younger kids so he is familiar with what you are looking for. His number is ###-###-####

Hi L.,
Please give Rene Vellinga at Re/Max of Louisville a call. ###-###-#### or check out his website at searchcoloradohomes.com. Great guy, will WORK for you. He lives in Louisville and is very familiar with Boulder County--the area you are looking in. He has been working in this area for many years, probably 10-15. He has children in the schools in Louisville, which are pretty good schools. You can check out the Boulder Valley School District on line and look at how they score in standarize testing. The other school district in the Longmont/Erie area is St. Vrain school district. You can also find information on that school district on line. We live in Erie which is 20 minutes from Boulder. It is a very family friendly community (there are 17 kids just on our cul-de-sac) and is a growing community. My husbands office is in Boulder--It's a very easy commute to Boulder from here. Erie is also only 20 minutes from Longmont and about 30-35 minutes to downtown Denver (in good traffic).

I hope this helps. My husbands family is from Texas. He grew up in Lubbock. If you would like any more information on the area, I would be glad to answer any other questions. And if you need a mortgage lender when you get ready to buy up here, my husband, Brian, has a mortgage company in Boulder, Crowder Mortgage. Please call him if you would like to get prequalified or would just like to walk through the process before you start looking for a house. His number is ###-###-####.

Cheers!
~Cindi Crowder

Hello L., I relocated to Colorado last Aug 2009 and I moved to the Broomfield, CO, area, and my daughter went to school in Boulder. I love Boulder, it has a great feel to it. I rented a home in Broomfield, CO, and the realtor that was selling the home was very good. The realtors name is; Roger Walker ###-###-####. He has kids also and knows alot about the area, has a great personality, and will not push you into something you do not want. Please give him a call and let him know I gave you his name. I am a single parent also. If you have any questions please let me know.

I reccommend John Wayne from Coldwell Banker. He is great to work with and he is always on top of things. Also, if you can him that day, he always calls you back. You don't have to wait for an answer. Some Realtor's take so long to reply, but he doesn't.

Hope this helps... Wish you happy packing.

Hey, neighbor - we moved here from Dallas in March! (And for pretty much the same reasons you listed...) We're working with Norris Minick at Agents for Homebuyers and have been very happy so far. We're just re-ramping up our active search and right now focusing on Louisville. If you'd like more info and our insights so far, feel free to send me a message! Good luck!
