I am very sad today as I learned my favorite Dr, Dr. Cliff Kahle died last month. I just found out I was expecting and I now need a new Dr. I found Dr kahle through moms on this site and I am praying with your help I can find another awesome obgyn. I now live in Southern Hightlands. If anyone has a doctor here in the south, or in west Henderson that you love, please give me thier info. Thank you very much!

What can I do next?

Hi L.,

I really like Dr. Herpolsheimer. His office is located at Horizon Ridge and Sunridge Heights. What I like about him is that he never seems to be running too far behind schedule, he has a nice and calm disposition and so does his staff, he doesn't use a lot of medical-eze, and -- this is what I love the most -- he has a Quest lab in his office so you don't have to go to one of those awful cattle call Quest Labs.

Good luck with your search and pregnancy.

I am in SHOCK! I just got a letter about a month ago that he was moving to Dr. John Martin's office on Buffalo...maybe it was just his records. I didn't read the letter because my insurance will not accept either one of them. I started my pregnancy with Dr. Martin and then went to Dr. Kahle who delivered my 3 YO daughter when Dr. Martin was no longer a provider with my insurance. They were both great doctors. Dr. Kahle was so kind and always showed concern as I had a LOT of back pain but refused meds and each time he would ask without pressure if there was anything he could do for me. Early in my delivery he did the same thing asking while he stopped in after a different delivery if he could help with anything, as I chose to deliver with no meds. I am so sad. I went to my post visit and then he too was no longer a provider for my insurance, so I never chose another doctor until December of this year (3 Years later).

This is the second doctor I have lost =( Last year I learned my doctor of 20 years died, Dr. Peter Mattimoe. He too was great, but was old and collapsed in the airport when flying home to Ireland. I had met his wife and several kids during my relationship with him and was very hurt when I learned he passed. So I need a good family doctor too.

I can tell you I went to Dr. Leslie Zak and could not stand her. I will not be back.

As an edit to my response...I just found this link and not sure you saw it. If you have not already seen it, brace yourself. http://diaryofamadworkingmom.blogspot.com/2008/12/taking-...

I really like Dr. Donna Miller in Henderson. She is on Horizon Ridge. However, she is very busy so the best thing to do is get the earliest appt available. I hear she is one of the best in town.
Good Luck.
