So I have been slacking big time! My baby girl is now 14months and I still have not put together her photo album!! Now that it's been so long, I'm looking for a cute large photo album-that way I don't have to use a bunch of small ones! Has anyone come across one or could recommend one? Thank you!!

Costco sells a two pack of photo albums that you can write on. The best part is that it's like a three ring binder, so you can take the pages out to write on them. I have a really hard time writing neatly in the albums that have attached pages. You can also buy additional sheets if you need more than the pages that are provided.

Target has a lot of photo albums, so you might be able to find a baby-themed one there. The Costco albums are generic leather. Maybe also Aaron Brothers or Michaels?

Hi T.,
I love Creative Memories albums. They are very high quality, acid free, lignen free and buffered. Basically the pages won't turn yellow, the photos won't yellow and if you add in other memorabilia (cards, birth announcments, etc., ) the buffering helps keep the acid from these from ruining your photos. You can go to the Creative Memories website and find a consultant near you. I am in Redondo Beach and have workshops a couple of times a month. It's great fun. Good luck!

I'd actually reccomend an artist's portfolio, or scrapbook type photo album.

They're pricey...typically $30-50...but the sheets are acid free, uv shielded plastic protected, screw and post, and very high quality, so you just keep adding sheets. An average artist's portfolio can have around 250-500 sheets in it, and full is around 4 inches thick. They last forever, are super durable, and are just plain classy. 500 sheets at even just one 8x10 per page is a ###-###-#### photos. Since they're typically about 15x15, that's up to 9000 photos.

You won't find them on amazon (at least I haven't) but any GOOD art store, and some framing stores, will have them.

I actually recommend mypublisher.com
It is a website that you pick the style of book, they have different style pages to accommodate different size and shape pictures, different backgrounds, and you get this beautiful bound book. I actually bought one and got one free with a promo they were having~for Grandma! We've decided to do one each year from Jan and end at Christmas. You can make a book for a special vacation, one of just daddy and baby for father's day...so many possibilities!

This is coming from a professional photographer, so might be overkill, but I really believe in photo preservation. It's a very important part of her memories and making a family story! It's history, but the most personal history a person can have - precious!!

Use quality, acid free products! You can contact me if you have any specific questions.

Have fun!

I agree with the moms who suggested the Creative Memories albums. The size is perfect for baby albums (and any other album, for that matter) and can be expanded from the original size. No, I'm not a consultant. Just a fan. :)

Hi there.

I'm a Creative Memories consultant and we have a few options for you...there's one album that you can just slide photos into and then there are the larger 12x12 scrapbooks that you can load with as many as 45 pages and put as many photos on a page as you can cram on there!

If you want, check out me website...it's www.mycmsite.com/meredithdrews.

Or, if you have questions, feel free to write me back.

Take care.

Here's an idea, buy the very large scrapbooking ones and immediately buy the extra inserts, put them in, and that's a good size book to start with. Another idea, to make it cute and not TOO much work. You know all those cards you get when baby was born and for birthdday, cut out the cute animal shapes, hearts, toys , what not, maybe some message written inside and use them for decorating the pages, that's it, make it easy on yourself and stop there! maybe buy a nice gel pen to write names , date etc. DONE
( and buy a tape runner, so convenient !)

You could try looking on E-Bay and just put in the search word "large photo albums".

Or, buy a 3-ring binder... and buy those plastic photo pages/sleeves/inserts for it, thereby, you can make the album as "large" as you want, adding as much pages as you want.
Here is an example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-Photo-Album-3-RING-BINDER-STC...

The one that is shown is this link, sounds good, because it is "archival" quality. AND, it seems this seller carries all types of these "3 ring" binder photo albums. AND it doesn't cost much.

All the best,
Susan

I love the big creative memories one. I think it is 16x16. I put their professional photos in it. I get 10x13 photos. Not enough wall space, so I put them in an album.

God BLess!

You can make your own baby book by scrap-booking. It is fun for you and you can put what you want on the cover. There are not many albums that are large enough to hold all of your precious photos of your baby girl. You can find the filler pages at walmart, dollar stores (in some states/counties), and even grocery stores. I don't know what else or where else you can find these. There are also websites were baby books, clothes, etc are available. I hope this helps. Good Luck
