I'll throw a party for my 2nd child's 1st birthday in the restaurant and expecting to have a lot of older kids there. I do not want them to bored themselves and running aroud so if I can afford I want to hire a clown. Party will be held in Duluth , GA on April 20. 2007. Anybody know a good and inexpensive clown?

What can I do next?

Okay I know that this may not be as helpful to you would like but my mom is a professional clown. She doesn't live in town but I have talked to her about this and most children don't even care what the clown is going to do until they are 3 or 4. I understand you will have older children there but a clown may not be your best pick for a restaurant. Clowns can be very expensive. You can look in the yellow pages and find clowns in the area but the experience I have had with clowns in this area hasn't been pleasant. I hold high standards for clowns because I have seen many clown parties. Some children will be scared of the clown. My son isn't a big fan of clowns unless he watches my mom get ready then he will hang out with her but if there is another clown around he isn't happy.

Good Luck

sorry to not be helpful but clowns are evil. Do a test clown run on your baby first. My daughter is terrified of clowns...

Holly Simpson, Lil' Miss Rainbow, is a wonderful children's party clown, face painter, and balloon artist (makes those cute balloon animals, etc). We have used her for several private parties and our neighborhood of Avondale Estates often employs her for festivals. She is excellent with children, even those who don't want to have their faces painted. Her prices are reasonable as will. I highly recommend her as I am sure would anyone in the neighborhood who has used her services. Contact info below:

Carl & Dee-Ann Woolridge (www.clowning4you.com) is a great clown. I experienced her at a Heart Walk at Piedmont Park a few months ago and she was wonderful. She kept a smile on her face at all times (after painting a few hundred kids faces), and she did the most incredible facial art. Not just a balloon or heart on the cheek. She's great. The phone number is: ###-###-####. Good luck and I hope everything turns out nice.

Be careful--kids can be afraid of clowns especially 2 year olds. Why are you having this party in a restaurant--a place with Lots of restrictions for kids. Sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen in Duluth!
