I lost a baby at 10 weeks along. My Dr. told me to wait 2 cycles to try again. I only waited one and conceived 7 weeks after my loss and he is a perfectly healthy little boy! The truth is that you are extremely fertile right after a mc. Good luck!

We tried immediately after miscarrying, I was 12 weeks along when I miscarried...grieved for a week and then tried again. My DS was born 9 months later.

Hey Yari,
Im soo sorry for your loss :(. I called my sister n law to ask her when she tried for her baby after she had a miscarraige, and she said she tried again 2 1/2 weeks later, and had a successful pregnancy. I think she just got really lucky though, so I do agree with what these other two people said about waiting until you have a normal cycle go by first, and then trying again. It makes more sence, because you dont want to get pregnant too too soon, just to be disappointed again by another miscarraige. Hope this help... And dont stress, cuz then it definetly wont happen, so just freeeeeeeeeee your mind, and dont worry about it, if its meant to be, it will be....And God know how much you want this...

I am sorry for your lost, I hope you are recovering well.
Have you talk to your doctor? I think depending the reasons why you have a miscarried is how much you should wait.
In the mean time take care of you in and out.
<<Warm hugs to you>>

You need to wait three months. That is what the doctor told me when I had a miscarriage. It was explained to me that your utereus has a bad spot in it that needs to heal and if the new embryo implants in the same spot then you could miscarry again. Let your body heal and get prepared for the next pregnancy. I drank no caffiene and drank little alcohol. I was pregnant five months later. I am sorry for your loss. I remember feeling devastated when it happened. Things happen for a reason and it is hard right now to internalize it. now my son is three years old and is the love of my life. I look back to the time I miscarried and realize that it happened for a reason. God bless. Be paitient and try when it is the right time.

NO NO NO... do NOT try and get pregnant... already.
Your Doctor, should have advised you on that and how long to wait.
Your body needs to heal... and not get an infection....

I had a miscarriage once at 6-weeks and a D&C. My Doctor said do not try and get pregnant again, until after 3 Months.

You need to "grieve." Getting pregnant again, will not solve that problem for you. You have to deal, with the miscarriage.... first. And your body has to adjust and get healthy and healed, again.

good luck,
Susan

I got pregnant with my (current) youngest an estimated 9 days after misscarrage (we didn't think it could happen so were weren't careful) Didn't even know I was pregnant for a whole trimester.

So to answer your question- theoretically you could get pregnant in about a week. Whether or not that is a good Idea is another matter entirely.

I am so sorry for you loss and i know exactly how you feel cause I am in the same boat as you. I was just 5 weeks and miscarried and was so upset. So I talked to my doctor and looked it up on line and there is really good news for woman like us. If you didn't have to get a D&C (which I didn't so I'm guessing you didn't either) then you don't have to wait at all. :) In theory you could ovulate in about a week and half to two weeks and get pregnant. And because you were just pregnant it makes it even easier to get pregnant again or so that is what my doctor told me. So try not to let it get you too down although I have been pretty upset myself. But good luck. We can do this!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've never experienced a miscarriage, but have a friend who did. Her doctor recommended waiting a year. Each person is different and a lot would depend on your health and history, you should discuss this with your doctors.

After my miscarriage my doctor said to wait until you have another cycle (not including the current bleeding - I guess he thought he had to specify so I thought I would do the same here). So I miscarried on Mother's Day in 2009 and conceived again on Father's Day (after having another cycle)! My baby girl is now 4 months...so hang in there....it just wasn't the right time for whatever reason...

God Bless,
K.

I am so sorry for your loss. I think a lot depends on how far along the pregnancy is. I had a missed m/c at 8 weeks that was discovered at 10 weeks. I was not miscarrying natually so I had to have a D&E. My OB told me I could try right away. We did and I didn't even have a period in between because we caught the first egg. I had an easy pregnancy that was very uneventful. My son is now a healthy 2 year old.

You should ask your doctor his opinion first. I was 9 weeks along when I had a loss. My doctor recommended at least 2 normal cycles before i started trying again.

I am sorry for your loss. It is not easy losing a baby that early or at any time. I had miscarried the end of February and was about 5 weeks and my Dr. told me to go through @ least one cycle before starting to try again. I got pregnant again and miscarried @ 6weeks just 2 weeks ago. I was told to wait again before trying to concieve at least one or more cycles.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know how you feel right now, since I've had 3 miscarriages. In each instance, my dr (different doc each time) recommended waiting 2-3 months. Interestingly enough, I had a hard time getting pregnant, but found that I was more fertile after each miscarriage. My doc said that was because the miscarriage sort of "cleaned me out" so that I was ready to carry a healthy pregnancy to term. I know this is a tough time, but hang in there!

You should wait until you have had one normal cycle. After that, I highly recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Dr. Toni Weschler to help you understand your cycle and achieve pregnancy sooner.

Good luck and prayers!

I don't have any advice to give... just wanted to say that I'm so sorry for your loss... When I was trying to get pregnant (after thinking I was pregnant...and discovering it was really just a ruptured ovarian cyst)... my OB just said- "Relax........do everything you normally do............. if you want to drink a little wine drink a little wine (I don't drink)...it will happen when it happens." And- it happened...I was pregnant shortly after. I think the more you stress the harder it is to conceive... (But I'm sure it doesn't help when you have a miscarriage)

I hope you have good news soon. I also attribute my pregnancy to some fertility accupuncture treatments... It may be worth a shot. Good luck!

I completely agree with Jodi. I didn't wait after my first miscarriage, got pregnant the following month and miscarried a second time. It was awful. We waited a month after that and I successfully carried my son to term. I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish you good luck in the future.

I am soo Sorry. I had a miscarrage about 5-6 months ago. You should ask your doctor. Mine told me that if it is natural that I could try after one complete period, but if you had a d&c then you need to wait 3 months. Well, I am now almost 9 weeks pregnant. Give yourself some time and try again.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. That is such a hard thing to go through. You shouldn't have to wait at all. It will happen at the right time.
